No, I didn't...because I didn't want to get rid of Havenstein; I said that he'd be an amazing O-line coach if he wanted to be because he got the most out of very limited athletic gifts with impeccable technique.

Old not dead never understood because he didn't follow the Rams in St Louis.
But John St Clair, Alex Barron, Jason Smith, Barry Richardson....right tackle was a black hole on offense for a long time there.

Was thinking about how to contextualize his career here, and what I came up with I think is pretty interesting.
I think it might be more rare for a player to play with the Rams for 10+ years, and not play for another team, than it is to be a Ram and a hall of famer. Warner, Holt, Bruce, Pace all played for another team.
Some of that is knowing when to call it....but pretty interesting and I think makes him worthy of ring of honor type stuff if that's something we do

I keep thinking he's older than me due to his gray hair but he's not
Tremendous warrior for us. Huge part of the Rams success over the last decade.
Always an elite run blocker and I loved how he worked hard to refine his pass blocking later in his career to become a very reliable pass blocker after some struggles.
Model team player and locker room presence as well.
