I am a huge McVay critic, but what do you expect any coach to dial up on offense when every single offensive lineman is getting blown up on almost every single play? Nobody can pass or run reliably like that. If you want to attack him for deciding to insert Avila and Jackson the same game, I guess, with already bringing in a new RT to replace Hav, fair enough. I certainly expressed those concerns will before the game.
EDIT - I give Jackson 1 more game at C against a "lesser" New England squad. If he does not look good, then I've seen enough, as he also looked bad pre-injury. The dude has never played C well at the NFL level. Call a spade a spade. We have two LGs that are not able to play elsewhere on the line. It is a huge problem cap allocation wise, but don't drag the team down with you as a result shoving round pegs into square holes, when Limmer is a viable option. Hopefully though with another week of practice beside he linemates, things turn around.
