If I'm not mistaken, Tutu Atwell should be back off IR after Sunday's game.

Allen has really improved as a blocker as well.
Although, all the TEs struggled against Seattle blocking.

Like others have eluded to, this may be the Sun setting on the career of Havenstein. Possibly Higbee too. Age and injuries are at the door. Ironic that both are St Louis guys and both go in IR on the same day.

We’ll miss Higs, but we’ll be okay there with good depth. Fergs and Allen need to become the clear cut guys if our scouting is worth a shit anyway. Fergs especially.

I bag on McVay and his love affair with facing adversity, the Rams will overcome and the next man up will step up.

I could see Witherspoon sliding into that star position at times.
Lake is so versatile.....really lets the Rams play different formations. Thats a big loss.

I agree.
The nice thing about the depth is the team can let these guys get healthy and shouldn't have a huge set back. If McClendon really struggles there is vet depth there.
Lake is the big one here.
 
It’s nice the Rams went OL and TE heavy with this year's roster. Many fans were worried about the tackle depth in the off season (including myself) because of Jackson's clots, Havenstein’s age, and the uncertainty about McClendon based on his game action last year. For me McClendon has been a pleasant surprise so far and it seems many feel it could be an upgrade with Hav’s declining performance. I feel a lot better about the tackle depth than I did in April. Both Quessenberry and Humphries provide some veteran depth if McClendon should regress/get hurt or Jackson has an injury, or the blood clot problems resurface. The good thing is the Rams do not need to make move on the OL losing Havenstein because they were heavily loaded there.

Losing Lake sucks but I think safety is one of the deeper positions on the team. Also adding McCreary seems like an even better move now with Lake’s injury even though he is technically a CB.

BTW, their OL focus should indicate that they will go OL early in the draft, and not just at OT, considering the emphasis they have placed on the OL recently.

He'll be on the Eagles 53 man roster when he comes off IL. They lost Lane Johnson and are looking forward to Lampkin being available.
He was never on the PS

Re-signing AJ and McClendon looking like he’s ready to take over on the right side relieves a lot of pressure and need for finding an OT. The Rams don’t necessarily have to grab until day 3 to develop.

I thought levenson was supposed to be that guy. He looked good in preseason but the Rams traded him for very little. I was both surprised and disappointed. The development OT is still in play.

As for looking for a starter on the OL…
Don’t we always want to draft Center good enough to come in and start day 1? Maybe take the job in his second year. Auburn has supposedly the top Center so maybe it being Les’ alma can have some influence. :laugh1:

Sad, but probably true. I don’t know Higbee’s contract status, but I believe Havs’ ends after this season, right?
