It was a Monday night game. The Rams went toe-to-toe with the niners in a shootout. Rams had the ball at like the niner 3 yard line, late in the game, for what had to be the winning score. Jim Everett fumbled the snap. Niners recovered. Montana hit Taylor on a 5 yard slant and Taylor took it to the house.

It felt like a really memorable case of food poisoning.

I think it was that same year that the Rams met the niners in the NFC championship game. Jim Everett's career was finished in that game. Over. The Rams went into a 10 year slide. Moved to St. Louis.

All because of the niners.
