Happy Thanksgiving to all the Ram brothers and sisters out there. Here's to spending time with family and friends and enjoying a break from the grind.

A good time to forget about our Rams for a couple of days and come back with renewed hope come Sunday.

Alright, first I have to vent.

I have to work today. I'm a doctor, and I have to round on the inpatients. I understand, patients are sick, someone needs to see them. I have to take call from home after I'm done rounding, but that's not that big of a deal.

What really pisses me off is that I have to work the Christmas weekend too. Thanksgiving and Xmas. I'm the new guy, so I understand. But I work in a large academic medical center and we have many other docs in our department. The number of holidays vs. the number of docs in our department vs the number needed to cover all of our inpatients means I should only have to average one holiday per year. But now I have to cover two and the two biggest of the year. Pisses me off to no end.

If those bastards think I'm working Thanksgiving AND Christmas next year, they've got another thing coming.

OK Rant over

Have a happy Thanksgiving! Be safe, if you're traveling to houses/different families, don't drink and drive.

Well that's just bullshit right there. Sorry to hear that, man. The last thing people need is a disgruntled doctor looking in on them. J/K. Hope you get that worked out, but if you need someone to come in and "persuade" the Chief of Staff, give me a call.

Ouch. Well, try to make the best of it man. Look @ the positives...you have a great career which will in the future give you a great, great life. Kudos for you to finish med school. I know it's not easy.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Can't wait for football today.

Thanks guys. It wasn't too bad. I'm already home now. It's just that I would like to have gone back home (to St. Louis) for the holiday, but couldn't. My grandfather is in bad shape and this very well might be his last Thanksgiving.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving, and be safe!

That sucks but don't dwell on it. This too shall pass. Best to you and everyone at ROD on this day to be thankful.

I know that feeling, this is the first Thanksgiving (Holiday season really) I've been home for since 05, since I'm finally out of the Military. A few years ago we deployed right before Thanksgiving and I wasn't allowed into the chow hall because I had blood on my uniform when someone got wounded, then on Christmas I got wounded, then the next year we were out in the middle of nowhere in a little outpost in the mountains covered in snow eating cold oatmeal.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to finally getting some turkey this year.
