It just bugs me how this is only a thing because the NFL thought to put zero WRs in last year and to put in two RBs, one being Terrell Davis who was borderline as it is...was the best option. Bruce not making the top 10 is a complete slap in the face. Total disrespect.

Isaac is one of the most complete receivers I have ever seen. He is my favorite Horn receiver, which is saying a lot!, given how much I loved Henry Ellard.

Bruce is my favourite all-time player, therefore, my opinion may sound biased.
With Warner and his great back story and then the player Faulk was, you can't ignore how Bruce played on that team before they came. He played well.
He shared offensive duties with some other great players.
He had some injuries that otherwise would have upped his stats.
I'd take him over Owens and Moss, but like I said, I am biased.

I believe Bruce retired the year before TO, so he was already the next wide receiver in line. He may be the next WR but still waiting until Calvin Johnson or some other big name comes along and becomes the next in line and he's waiting again.

Sterling Sharpe isn't in and I don't see how Calvin Johnson is such a slam dunk either.

Moss and Owens were the two major impediments to a Bruce induction, due to their high profile natures, and statistically they had an equal or greater case.

Steve Smith, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Bruce has more yards and TDs than all of them. The only other WR that could leapfrog Bruce is Larry Fitzgerald and he is still active.

Torry is a semifinalist as well. I hope he and Isaac both make the Hall. And S-Jax.

Former Rams Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce named Hall of Fame semifinalists

This year’s Los Angeles Rams offense has an absurd amount of talent, but before there were guys like Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Todd Gurley, there was a different crop of Rams offensive legends. Two of those legends received a huge honor tonight when the Pro Football Hall of Fame made a very special announcement.

Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, both alumni of the legendary “Greatest Show On Turf,” were named semifinalists for the 2019 Hall of Fame class. Holt and Bruce were both instrumental in the Rams’ Super Bowl XXXIV win, and were two of the best receivers of the early 2000’s.

Both were draft picks of the Rams, and both played nearly their entire careers with the franchise. They’ve also been very active participants in #RamsTwitter, frequently posting on social media about Rams games.

The quarterback of those GSOT teams, Kurt Warner, got inducted into the hall in 2017, and it would be great to see Holt and Isaac join him there. Holt finished his career with 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns while Isaac finished his with 15,424 and 91. Bruce has the fifth-most receiving yards of all time, and likely has a better chance than Holt does at getting in. Either way, it’s a great honor to be a semifinalist and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the voting process continues.

Bruce sadly has been effected by voters continually keeping out great WRs over the years. but with Moss and TO now in, Bruce is the best WR left not in the HoF so hopefully he finally gets the nomination he deserves. Holt on the other hand will probably fall victim to the same bullshit that delayed other great wrs, and with guys like Calvin Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, etc getting closer to be eligible, it could be a long wait if he doesnt get in within the next 2-3 years. Best of luck to both guys, who are more than deserving of this distinction

Where Are They Now: Isaac Bruce
Ryan Perez

We caught up with the legendary Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce. While equipped with many football and post-NFL career accolades, Bruce is now adding another project to his repertoire. Bruce and his former college teammate, Marcus “Doc” Holliday, are launching a podcast called Run Pass Option with Isaac and Doc (R.P.O.). We had the chance to speak with Bruce and learn more about his upcoming project and hear what he’s recently been up to.

Q: What inspired you to pursue the “R.P.O.” podcast with Doc?

A: Well, I thought just from our college days, experience of playing football – just being former football players in general – we’re fans of the game. I’m a fan of the game, still excited about the game and I think I maybe have an idea or opinion that I could share.

I think the biggest thing is to help current players, players who have dreams to play in the NFL, maybe guys who are in college right now. If I can share some of my expertise that others have taught me on this, that’s another reason we decided to start this.

Q: What do you hope listeners will gain most from the podcast?

A: I think not only the Los Angeles fans can benefit, but just all fans in general. A football fan can get a lot from it because I think that from a faith standpoint, we’re definitely going to integrate that in with the conversations that we have and the topics that we have.

Family, football – it’ll all be accessible through our podcast. I think from a football or sports fan’s point of view or faith, I think we’ll check every box and make sure that we not only feed the listeners that tune into our podcast, but we’ll make sure we’ll make a change and create a positive impact on them.

Q: What else have you been involved with since retiring from the NFL?

A: My wife and I, we do a youth ministry back in Fort Lauderdale, and I have a new construction company, the Bruce Construction Management. Also, I have two beautiful daughters, so that keeps us pretty busy. That’s about it and just trying to be a philanthropist as best I can through my foundation and being, what I call, a ‘booster’ for my high school down here in Fort Lauderdale – Dillard High School.

Q: What do you remember about being a rookie and do you have any advice for the current Rams rookies?

A: I was shocked by the speed of the game. You can tell the difference. I wasn’t playing with kids anymore. I was practicing and going about my business with grown men, people who had families, people who treated the game like it was a job – the way it was supposed to be – and they were very serious about their craft. My advice would be to link up with what you want to be. You’re a Ram.

There’s another person that you want to emulate in your style of play, his mannerism on and off the field. There are guys there who have been to Pro Bowls, guys who have played in Super Bowls, and coaches. We can take everything that those coaches give us, good and bad, and apply them to our lives.

Bruce is such a better player than Terrell owns...

Better routs, better hands... more consistent, quicker, faster...

Owens dropped a ton of easy balls.. pseudo TE

There's basically only two spots for him after the "duh" candidates get in. Bailey, Reed, and Gonzalez are going to make it for sure. Do we think Bruce is going to impress more than all but one other name on that list? He should, but I don't think he will.

Hutchinson will probably make it and then I don't know enough to really determine who else could beat him, but I fully believe in the selection committee to be exceedingly stupid (not Rams fans, in other words).

How are TWO hall of fame receivers going to get in, when they take receptions and touchdowns from each other? They were the best receiving tandem in history. They should go in together, but I'd take Ike now and Torry in a couple of years, if that is the way it has to be.
