Fond memories of Z when he was sadly the only offensive threat on the team, but that was many moons ago.
Z's kicking had become deplorable, prior to last season he was barely over 80% on fg attempts (80.1) in his previous 4 seasons.
He made 2.75 mill last year, and to invest that kind of dough on a belief that a light bulb had somehow come on is a bad investment

Try out new prospects but keep him on speed dial.

Don't know how picks #19, #52 and #83 (Rams' current picks) get turned into #43, #54, #59, #81, #82 and #83? However, if possible, that's OK with me. Would also have no complaints about Newton and Trice being available at #43 and #54.

So he projects we trade our first rounder again?

Yes that amazingly intelligent and handsome draft analyst with better hair than Mel Kiper thinks you get better value when you trade down to pick up more picks, especially in this draft.

IDK but I’m inclined to believe him.

I have also heard that he is quite attractive and intelligent but struggles with excessive flatulence.

Lol, if Les could swing trades to give them those picks in the draft he'd be GM of the century. Turn #19 into two extra seconds and two extra thirds? Whoever makes a trade like that with him would probably be fired before the season.

But they’re supposed to take Nix in the first round…..

Going young and cheaper is what started the whole kicking fiasco.
What started this issue was letting our outstanding kicker go and then not going after a serious replacement in the Draft or FA. Yes, Zuerlein had a great year, but he was coming off three underwhelming seasons, has had injury issues, and is 36 years old. If they can bring him in on the very cheap to compete, fine. But we should invest in an actual young guy. Spend a Day 3 pick on a talented kicking prospect. There are a solid number in this Draft.

Meh wouldn’t be the worst pick but wouldn’t be my pick.
Think that was Brook’s mock, I wouldn’t use that pick on him either. I’d much rather have one of the edge or CB with that pick.
