While attending TC I've had short conversations with media types (De'Marco Farr, Lindsey Thiery) and a few players. I've asked if they visit fan forums. All say yes. Farr told me players like to know what fans think of them and value fan insight. Cool to know we are appreciated.

Actually it was a sports agent with NFL clients that referred me to this site. He was my neighbor in Popotla, Baja with whom I used to watch games with. He was also the one that turned me on to using a VPN to watch Ram games outside of LA. He told me back then that many media people used the site to get a feel for fan reactions and feelings.

I have really a lot of respect for Charles Davis. He is a not only a seriously capable expert analyst but imo sets an example that shows all the blowhard wannabe talking heads how it should be done.

If Davis likes this forum it is a real compliment to the many outstanding and knowledgeable posters we have on ROD.

My son Brett was over at his friend's house last night... and his Dad (Charles Davis) admitted to him that he loves ROD and that he and many other broadcasters use our site all of the time to help with content to use on air. He said that ROD is very well respected among all of the Sports TV personalities and that is definitely not the norm for sites like ours. Charles wasn't trying to butter me up either because he had no idea that I had anything to do with ROD.

Pretty Cool if you're asking me. So... Charles was basically giving all of you props last night my Brethren!

Yes... you met my oldest son at that game. He posts here sometimes and goes by @Ramrasta ...

I have 3 sons. My oldest who you met, and twins that are almost 4 years younger. Two of my sons are Diehard Ram Fans.

Unfortunately... the twin in this pic is a GD colts fan. Somehow I fucked up there LOL. He's a real diehard though so we give him credit for that. My twins have always worked at having their own separate identity from the other twin. I think that's why this one in the pic decided at a young age to be a stupid colt fan.

We do permit him to sleep inside when the temp drops below freezing. So we clearly have a heart for him. LOL.

Charles asked Brett if he planned on going to any colt games this season. Brett told him that the only NFL games he's ever been to are Ram games. Charles was like "Rams games?". So Brett proceeded to tell him about me being a Diehard Ram Fan.

Charles the told him that the Rams are one of his favorite teams in the league to cover because of McVay and Snead. He went on raving about it. So Brett then told him that I was such a nut fan... that I even have a message board for the Rams. Charles asked him which one. That's when he told Brett how they actually love ROD and that that is not the way many message boards like these are looked at. He was very impressed because he immediately knew ROD when Brett gave him the name.

Charles is going to get Brett hooked up to go to a colts game this season now. He is good friends with Manning from their college days at Tennessee. Charles is a good dude.
