G Rob is the starting left tackle for a 2-0 team that looks pretty damn good right now.

He still has a ways to go - mentally and physically - but he is a better football player than any of us are.

Grob is way better at hot dog eating contests than I am, but I have better lateral footwork.

Impossible to make the assumption both would have been available. If we take Mack at 2 it's likely the Raiders take AD. It would be nice to have them both but unrealistic to think we could have.

Not necessarily true. Sure, if Oakland New then, what they know now, but teams passed him, not even making the top ten. Odds are that Oakland would have felt the same way.

The real reason that the Mack/Donald scenario wouldn't work is that if Snead took Mack, then he likely takes Lewan instead of Donald. OLT was too great a need to pass up.
