With the student discount.

If you have or know a college kid all you need is a screenshot of a bill or class schedule something like that, than you are good to go.

Saves me about $250.00. IM not sure the actual price, probably a little cheaper if you have YT TV.

Season will be here before we know it.

But why didn't you give DirectTV your extra$250??? We all need to sacrifice for these mega corporations, they all have our best interests at heart and plus, you won't be called a cheapskate!

I was able to get the student deal last year, (thanks to my daughter being in college)
So I saw this and went on the site and it says I'm eligible and can just pay right there. Pretty cool!!!

Totally worth it. There were some snags early in the season but all in all it was better than the DTV app

Yeah. My son did it last year as he's going to UNR. I still ended up watching free games as I wasn't at home during a bunch of them. I've never had a problem catching streams wherever I am.

Just need to make sure you miscreants post the streams.

I only have a work laptop and not a personal one. They cracked down on security and don't let you use the internet without being on the VPN, so I can no longer stream. Last year, I did the student discount Sunday ticket and it was great!

Ok, so I'm getting rid of cable. Comcast is just getting ridiculous with the price increases the past few years. I switched my internet to Tmobile. For 50 bucks a month and no extra equipment rental. They sent the wifi modum and booster to put in another room. No data limit. Set it up the other day and it works fine.

So I'm interested in Youtube TV. I can get the ticket for $249. Anyone have any experience with Youtube TV. My smart TV's have youtube apps but not youtube TV. I assume I'll have to get a couple roku boxes to make it work? My comcast it gonna be cancelled next week. So I gotta do something soon.

I had the same issue as you. I suggest Google Chromecast. If you already have Amazon Prime, then get the Amazon Firestick.

Be patient with the Chromecast as it will likely need to download updates (mine didn’t ship with it). But I really like it and use it in conjunction with YouTubeTv

Third gen Smart TVs came with the majority of apps on them. The first and second waves did not. That’s why a Firestick or Chromecast is needed to be the medium to play the newer apps on the TV (Hulu, Philo, YouTube Tv, Prime, etc.)

My older Gen 2 Smart Tv works great, but didn’t have the YouTube Tv app preloaded. The TV is not smart enough to download applications and install the proper drivers to be compatible.

We've used it for about 2 1/2 years. No complaints here other than that your library for saved stuff while unlimited is not forever. Saved shows/movies/events if they do not air again will be gone in approx 8 months.

I get it but those TVs are 10 years old now. They've lived a good life.

If you get 10 years out of your Tv now you've done well.

Have a nice new smart tv but still use my firecube.

We were playing a movie game on our TV and it couldn't handle it. Had to go through the laptop and plug it into the Tv.

But YouTube. C'mon.
