When we get beat schematically we get embarrassed:

MIN last yr
DET this yr
CHI this yr
PHI this yr
NE this yr

If McVay isnt putting us in thr perfect situations to succeed, we get beat and its not pretty. Sometimes the players have to step up and say enough is enough and COMPETE.
Dude your entire argument is weak.

Yeah he needs perfect circumstances to
Win .. he needs plain sailing games ..like no crowds noise .. you know like the New Orleans game two weeks ago coz that was optimal
Game conditions

Im talking about scheme UK.. Circumstances around our game plan.

Today was obviously more on McVay, he got totally embarrassed. But when opportunities are so few and far between, you just CANT miss them. Cant miss that read, cant be late with that throw.. fair share of blame to go around, o line played bad, cooks was awful. But as the QB when you are the only one touching the ball every snap, you need to overcome those obstacles and execute when we have chances. We had chances....

Didnt the NE o line play bad? How about their run game the whole day when we were shutting it down? Still, Brady took advantage of his opps and made the right read, right throw when it was there.

Executing when it really matters is the definition of an elite competitor.

He was the youngest from the NFC--this I knew ....but also from the AFC ever? I thought Marino was youngest.

I think it was Roethlisberger, who was patently awful in his first SB game, however they won

He got the freaking crap kicked out of him and he was still standing in the pocket and delivering should be touchdowns to Cooks at the end. The kid is a stud in the making. He made some bad decisions today but his coach and his o-line did not give him a chance imo. This team will grow from this.
I mostly agree.....You knew that the Pats were bringing it inside....and the Rams diddn't adjust...both McVay and GOff will spend all offseason re-perfecting the great O.....but, they need new center and maybe guard.

I think we all get the narrative. Although I'm pretty sure I saw the elite QB throw a few in the dirt last night. Zero TDs and an interception. Seems like a pretty narrow minded view of a guy still on his rookie contact.

Dude your entire argument is weak.

I think this guy has a valid point. Meaning, Goff doesn't win games when the other team figures us out.,
WELL, lol, either did Favre even until he was 40;
Only Mahommes, Elway and Rogers have a chance in a game like that...and maybe Wentz....arghhh, I hate to say that about Wentz, lol. GOff has 4 playoff games, Wentz 0; Goff 1 super bowl app, Wentz 0. Goff has 2 pro bowls, Wentz 1. Oh ya, I will take Goff.

The Teams that cause the Rams trouble, except for the Pats, had great big DTs. Pats came up the middle, too. McVay will solve it...he has all offseason to ask "why didn't we put up 16-20?"

I mean, if Cooks catches the touchdown Goff makes as many big plays as Brady did. And Goff's would have been for a touchdown where New England had to still run it in. And then Goff got them in field goal range and GZ missed it at end. 10 points right there. So Goff made as many big plays as Brady did. Both defenses were on point tonight. Patriots skill players just made more plays.
The Ball Hit Cooks hands before the defends did.....that is a TD for 40%+ of WRs....however, that ain't Cooks forte...and we all know it.....not making excuses, he should have caught it..he had nervous hands, just like Holt in the first series in the 2001 bowl.

Goff has talent.. he has potential.

He has shown some production also the last two years.
It's pretty simple - if Goff can keep getting better then this team will be a force for years to come.

The NFL is just all about the quarterback.
The NFL is all aobut the QB and I am happy we have Goff. He looks 'small' in the pocket someto,es, but no one has a 'finer' arm. It is golden...the brain has to catch up.

MCVay's success has been keeping Goff as clean as Brady and Brees....and that is why Goff will have the same "stats" and HOF success as they did. The rings, who knows...no one be laughing when I say GOff is as good as Brees now...that I love! Because, now, he is better! Brees would have gotten destroyed

Are you sure you meant Detroit this year? A game we won 30-16, was embarrassing?
Philly where we almost tied it on the final play is an embarrassing loss?

Our biggest loss this year including the playoffs was 10 points, and none of them were made that close during garbage time, and all of our losses were against playoff teams.

On the other hand this year, New England lost by 11 to the Jaguars, 16 to the Lions, and 24 to the Titans,

Great point. Too much blame on McVay. Goff did not play well. No doubt. Just too much blame for him.

Of course he is going to stare down his #1 option. He never had time to check down to the other options.
There were plenty of times he had time.
3 seconds being time in the NFL.
He was playing a tick slow in the Super Bowl.

None of those games were embarrassing.
Chicago was a road game in the cold against an excellent D front. Even in that game the Rams managed to pull with in range late.
Guess what? Just like every other team the Rams are not going to be the best, most talented across the board.
The Bears interior line vs Sullivan and Blythe is a mis match in the Bears favor for example.
Competing is what the Rams were doing.

as I've said about him after years 1, 2, and now 3, he needs to get better. Patriots bet the house they could confuse him with disguised looks and stunts, and they did. He wilted. He didn't play well. He threw a duck to a wide open Cooks back of the end zone. Yes, our game plan was mostly terrible, but Goff will have to wear this one.

If he needs perfect scenarios and 100 yard rushers every game to win you a game, that isn't elite.

Getting beat us not mean you are embarrassed. I hate tgst kibd of talk. Majes me think those who say it bever competed in anything of note.

Sometimes you get beat. You get outplayed or in this case outcoached. It happens. It haspoens to the best of them. Sometimes it's not just a matter of coaching but also a combination of the match ups involved.

New England did not allow the Rams to run the ball. They then were able to ignore play action and send an extra rusher or two after Goff. The Rams OL has shown previously that without a run game they struggle to pass protect and that showed up yesterday.

Now McVay maybe needed to be more patient with the run, but you can tell he was expecting Brady to put up points so I think McVay forced things a bit when maybe he should not have. Thus threw more when he could have tried to feed Gurley and Anderson more.

When you're getting out coached as bad as we were, your players need to step up. We played bad football in the biggest moments.

Baldy and his mangled fingers are right.
Those little delays come from being confused in my opinion.
As Keenum said once, seeing ghosts on the field.

Baldinger's vids all point to same thing, he's slow on some of his reads. Pats banked on this and exploited it. Again, why I came out of yesterday's game so disappointed with Goff.
