And remember that if you dare to point out how annoying the endless bitching, moaning, complaining, and negativity about the coaching staff and team is, like a pneumatic drill in your brain, you might be labeled as a homer.
So your saying it's not pertinent to point out we are a 4-5 losing record team? It's amazing how annoying it is to have people refuse to acknowledge that the vehicle your traveling down the highway in has two flat tires, missing a windshield and a steering wheel yet people dress it up as if nothing's wrong and it'll fix itself.

It's called not being negative or a pessimist but callling it what it is, being a realist to the situation at hand.

Not at all. But for a mod it can get tedious since we have to read almost every post in every thread. The rest of you get to pick and choose. Heck, you can even use the ignore function, which we can't.

It's called not being negative or a pessimist but callling it what it is, being a realist to the situation at hand.

See now, the word "realist" is a trigger word for me. What does that even mean? Is a realist someone who posts over and over again how the Rams will always be 7-9 or worse as long as Fisher is the HC? History may bear that out but it's not impossible that things can change in a hurry. He did get a team to the Super Bowl once and lose by only one yard.

I'm an optimist by nature, a "the glass is half full" kind of guy, as are the rest of the mods. We try to nudge everyone along in that general direction. It gets tougher to do every season. We're not stupid or delusional. But every morning is a new day and a new opportunity for something great to happen. Why not point that out as well?

Negativity is easy. Anyone can do it. It requires no effort or creativity. If left unchecked it can infect everyone. People don't like to join sites that are nothing but bitching and moaning. In life it's human nature to avoid people like that as well. We're trying to grow this site, that's why we do what we do.

So go ahead and point out "reality" while the rest of us point out what could possibly happen which will make things better. There's room for both of us.

Please. It's not ignoring anything to be tired of those who choose to constantly bitch and whine. You are no more a "realist" than anyone else out there. You think constantly pointing out the flat tires is fresh or imaginative? It's tired, boring, and just sounds a lot like this to many of us here:

Is this not a forum where you discuss matters of the team good and bad? Just because ALL FANS that post don't post like @DaveFan'51 ( which I wish i could wake up with half the positive vibe he gives off everyday) doesn't mean I hate or ridicule him on stuff, I might not agree al the time but his thoughts are his thoughts.

Maybe you should try some bitching and whining... it'll turn you... well play the clip you'll find out.

Save it. This is just horseshit. You are trying to act like we don't welcome discussion because we voice that we are tired of the constant bitching and whining of a few posters.

Do you even read your own posts? So how is this not ridiculing those you view as homers? Or for that matter, those who are not making "sense" by your criteria?

STOP MAKING SENSE AND GET ON YOUR HOMER VISION DAMN YOU!

If you feel you are being oppressed here and want to find a place where a free flow of ideas means a bunch of whining, gripping, and "realism", there are plenty of other sites for that. But we will remain a place where optimism and homerism are not dirty words.

You want to discuss the Rams and be critical of what you see? You are welcome to it here. You want to make petty posts aimed at those of us who choose to see or discuss things as if the sky has not fallen, then you are not. It's really that simple.

It appears I've found a kindred soul over at FinHeaven.com, Hc90. (y) And then the "reality" folks show up. Btw this thread is from last month before the Fins went on a 4 game winning streak.
*******************************************************************
http://www.finheaven.com/showthread.php?378852-For-the-few-positive-fans-on-this-site

For the few positive fans on this site

So tired of coming on here and reading 20 threads about how such and such player is available as a top 5 pick next year .

This season is NOT over .

I fully expect to win this week and I think the season comes down to the Steelers game at home . Hopefully some real fans show up to cheer and give us some noise in our stadium instead of looking up " top prospects " on Google .

Fcng negativity around here is disgusting - Hc90
-----------------
It isn't negativity, it's reality.
--------------
I believe in being positive. There are some people here who just can't help finding some sort of negative where ever they can. It's sickening.
----------
ehhhh. I try to be positive... I guess I've seen this story too many times before. I know how it ends.
----------
I get sick of the negativity as well, after losses like last week I rarely bother because the whole site is geared towards firing everyone.
----------
I'm positive. I'm positive that we stink. I'm positive that Tanny is NOT starting NFL caliber. I'm positive that Gase is in over his head. I'm positive that we won't turn this franchise around until Ross sells the team.
-----------
I'm positively negative.

I'm pretty positive the team is gonna blow.
----------
There is positivity, and then there is delusional. At this point, anyone who thinks this franchise is gonna turn anything around any time soon is D-E-L-U-S-I-O-N-A-L.
-----------
This is the time to put away the hopeium pipe and resist the urge to get high on it.

Hopeium pipe? Now there's some creativity and humor. (y)

http://www.finheaven.com/showthread.php?380321-Simple-Strategy-for-Rams-win

Simple Strategy for Rams win......

The Rams are 4-3 against opponents who threw more than ran the football.

0-2 against teams that ran more than passed.

Steady dose of the J-train..Williams & Drake...couple of Tannehill runs...mixed with play action....we win.
-----------
That's a good catch and with this patchwork line we have definitely wanna minimize pass attempts
----------
Problem is their playbook is now limited with two starters out on the OL.

Gase will have to make adjustments... he can't call the all of the same running plays he could have with the unicorn line in.

I hope he can compensate for the weakness (running away from Donald a good start), and still get SOME production out of Ajayi. I hope.
----------
Definitely gotta neutralize Donald as much as humanly possible.. Which in fact we know is possible because we have certainly played teams in the past thst have have made Suh a non-factor.
----------
By any means necessary. Drake or Grant need to break a return or the D needs to score a TD to give some cushion to a potentially low scoring affair.

Tannehill will have a few windows to make some plays and he needs to capitalize on them. Not the type of game you can afford drops from the WR's or TE's. Parker, Stills and Landry need to each do what they do and we will be fine. Ajayi hasn't let up either so I could see a productive 25 carry, 120 yard game from him.

Stay out of third long, Tannehill needs to get out of the pocket at the right time.

Florida is filled with rednecks. There are a lot of uneducated swamprats down there. It isn't all just Miami and Orlando.
Red Necks .....Maybe a few decades back but most have fled to the North out of the state or to North Western area of Florida years ago;).

More likely you would find it very hard to find any original Florida swamp rat folks matching that first word now......todays south Florida is filled with many Yankees fleeing the cold, repressive over regulated state governments & their high taxes. The other major groups of diverse people in Florida are imports from many different areas of North America & from the world all over..

My cousins live down there and seem to have no trouble finding like minded ilk to grab a case of beer and go driving around the swamp. I now it isn't all of Florida but judging by these posts, I'd bet they still have their fair share of inbred.

Rams say they aren't scaling back for Goff

Gotta think that Rams oline is gonna be fatigued after playing the Jets.

Play action on early downs may be only way they have enough time to try intermediate to deep throws.

Same for us, BTW...
----------
Jared Goff is gonna look like me during my one college math class final. Confused, stressed, mistake ridden with a little bit of pee in his undies.
---------
Well when you can't score any points, there's really nothing left to scale back is there?
----------
Good, because we're not scaling back the defense.

Fair is fair....
-------
The thing is, the only reason someone said this publicly is to create the illusion that they won't. If they truly weren't going to scale back the offense, why exactly would you say something about it. They'd just ****ing well show you in the first 15-20 plays. They won't want to expose the kid, he already looked like steaming dog **** in the preseason. Blitzes ate him up, so I expect us to go after him early.

And I don't mean simple blitzes, give him to good stuff early and scramble his head. The defense must blitz the run too.
---------
This one has all the makings of a trap. We have beat the last few teams many thought we wouldn't. This is one many think we should win. Combine that with a rookie QB which tends to be our kryptonite, it's got that familiar feeling us fans have grown accustomed to. I will watch tomorrow with very low expectations.
---------
The thing is with a lot of crazy blitzing you might make a mistake and have the rookie burn you for a TD.....then you boost his confidence. I'd rather pressure him with the front four and hopefully that will be enough.
----------
https://thephins.com/threads/rams-pre-game-thread.90236/

Rams Pre-Game Thread

Well today's news sucked. Luckily, we're playing a quarterback I have very little faith in. Read the game preview at Welcome to Perfectville.

https://welcometoperfectville.com/2016/11/17/week-11-preview-los-angeles/
----------
I think we will be okay. Might have to use some double TE packages to get Ajayi going, but if we can control the clock and not turn the football over we will be fine.
--------
Ajayi will have to earn his keep blocking Sunday. Aaron Donald is coming right up the middle and it wont be pretty if we miss him.

Defense has to get the ball back to offense a bunch. We need at least 2 turnovers, and a big play setting up nice field position from special teams. Gase will need to get creative with this patchwork line, for sure.

They're coming out to feed Gurley, and take pressure off Goff....short passes, quick release. Need to disguise coverages and bring heat on the kid! Knock him around and get him flustered.

In this win streak we've beaten the likes of Big Ben and Rivers.....we got this!!!
--------
I just don't see how both def interior lines don't dominate this game, the three headed monster that is Suh, Phillips and Earl is going to cause serious chaos in the shaky line...i mean it's pure physics at this point..

And I'm not sure how to gameplan against this defensive line with two starters down...

Gotta try to win an ugly game..

Jakeem is really struggling, he bobbled and fumbled on three different occasions last week...shaky confidence right there..let's hope he overcomes..Our mentality will be to scrap and fight to the end, so hopefully ryan can be the difference with exp...
--------
I'll be really surprised if we lose this game. I get that there are matchup issues with Brockers and Donald inside (AD is just an amazing player), but we present the same problems for them (even healthy, their OL is really bad). They're starting a rookie QB who isn't ready and who doesn't have a competent offensive coaching staff to help him out, and doesn't have a go-to receiving target to erase mistakes. This Rams offense just doesn't score points.

Good call on Trumaine Johnson, Aqua. One of the more underrated players in the League, imo. He's playing at a Pro Bowl level this year. Very impressive corner.

It's possible Goff starts utilizing TE Tyler Higbee, who Keenum never seemed to click with. Higbee's a rookie, but he's got legit physical/mismatch talent and flashed a little in preseason.

Ultimately the Rams are just dysfunctional and incompetent both offensively and coaching-wise. We are not. That's what it comes down to for me.
---------
Higbee and Golf did have a connection in preseason. I agree the Dolphins are less dysfunctional :)
----------
This game its on the defense to keep them from scoring. Our offense isn't going to do anything with the injuries to the oline. Think Tennessee and Cincinnati. If our defense can keep it a low scoring affair we have a chance
--------
Before the Albert and Pouncey injuries I was pretty confident about this game. Now, not so much... at the end of the day, this game is going to come down coaching, IMO. Which coaching staff can limit their respective team's weaknesses and gameplan effectively? I'm hoping Gase and Joseph come out on top here.
---------
It shouldn't be overstated that the Rams would love to have Kraig Urbik and Anthony Steen on their OL. The Rams have one of the five worst lines in the NFL.
----------
Most are predicting a Rams win, but I'm just not seeing it. They've scored 2 TD's in their last 3 games. The big question is, what's the over/under on Cam Wakes strip-sacks?
----------
They have beaten the Seahawks, Bucs, and Cards. Let's hope they don't surprise the Dolphins, too.

With Pouncey out, I'm sure Brockers and Donald are licking their chops.

That's a cocky Dolphin fan base.

Yeah, a total 180 from where they were after a 1-4 start. Funny, I don't remember feeling that cocky when we were 3-1. I guess having Keenum as your best chance will do that to you. :cautious:

Great game Rams fans. Honestly shocked we won I though with 3 missing starting offensive lineman against your stout D was going to mean another Miami disappointment. Miami also well known for giving big games to first time QB's. On that note, I think Goff looked solid for his first start against us. I do think you need to be rid of Fisher for Rams to move forward and hopefully next year you find your Head Coach.

Good Luck to the Rams rest of the season!
