Yeah, Kyle Brandt is okay, but in small doses. I grew up in LA and I don't doubt he worked hard to get the gig, loves sports and occasionally says something funny, but he has that try hard "I sat in on the Groundlings for 3 months around 2015 and it changed my life" vibe... I dunno... growing up even kinda in proximity to "Hollywood", knowing people on both sides of the camera, etc... it really makes it hard to just enjoy without seeing how the sausage is made... and I wasn't exactly a butcher if ya catch my meaning. He strikes me as more Bill Engvall lite in that he laughs the loudest at his own jokes (well, shouts on set, but yeah, same difference)
However, if you doubt the small doses, did anyone catch his solo show? It was beyond cringey and doomed from the start. I mean, it was bad for a youtube clip show, let alone a fully funded show with NFL Network backing.
Kay... sorry, don't get the "cute" thing. I mean, yeah, she's kinda photogenic, but she comes across to me as that chick who will absolutely talk shit about all her friends after that first appletini is drained. Oh, and how many times is she gonna be in a big t-shirt after a segment because she spilled coffee on her outfit?
Schrags I dig, but he's at his best when he's doing his thing as opposed to riffing with Brandt.
I love Nate's passion, but it's clear when they're doing stuff written by the producers who "think this is great", but is worse than bad skit night at a Webelo camp (group just before Boy Scouts in the states for those that don't get that reference). I appreciate that Nate does his homework and he's graduating (that's what it is).
I stopped watching some time ago because unless it's Brady's team, Green Bay or part of some trade/injury or some fantasy listical, they ain't gonna talk about ya. I swear, when the Rams make a trade and they have to talk about the latest "Blockbuster Rams trade"... I can just see Kay Adams and Kyle Brandt roll their eyes.
