:cheers:great arguments....but I gotta side with @HometownBoy ...He's bringing up memories that I have repressed...like I'm in therapy....where's @Dagonet & @Tron ? I need a drink
Yeah, no kidding. Take over a 2 win team and leave a 2 win team after 3 seasons is just awful. Esecially in today's NFL where teams have had quick turnaroundsTalk about weak tea. What kind of team did Vermeil inherit?
If your team still sucks after 3 years, ain't nobody's fault but your own...
The goal, to me, is to win more games than you lose.... with the real goal of getting into playoff action.Actually Vermeil inherited a lot of guys that went on to help him win that Super Bowl, he just needed to put them in the right direction and get them a few more key players like Pace, Holt, Warner, Faulk, Little and co. Other key guys like Lyght, Bruce, Lyle, Farr, Mike Jones, Conwell, Wilkins, Carter and others were all there waiting for proper management, but I get the point you're putting down.
Spags is in no way a GOOD coach, I just don't think he's the worst, definitely not worse than Linehan.
Seriously wtf can 4 pages go one about what Spags says? Die........Thread......
LMAO @Prime Time!!We're trying to keep up with the Wang thread.
Here's something that will keep members posting. Spags may not be a magician but he's an expert now on quarterbacks.

Steve Spagnuolo thinks Sam Bradford will do “great things” in Philly

It’s been more than a few years since Steve Spagnuolo was the second-year head coach in St. Louis working with rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, but Spagnuolo’s opinion of Bradford’s ability hasn’t changed since then.
Spagnuolo thought Bradford was as impressive a quarterback prospect as any in recent memory and he said during an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly this week that he believes Bradford, who now plays for the Eagles, can still play at a high level despite the two torn ACLs that sidetracked his career.
“I know he’s going to do great things there,” Spagnuolo said, via Philly.com. “Trust me when I tell you he’s got all the skills, and I keep going back to the fierce competitor because I believe elite quarterbacks in this league have that. You think of them all, theAaron Rodgers, the Tom Bradys, the Peyton Mannings, Eli Mannings, they’re all very fierce competitors. They love the challenge. They love to rally people around them, and Sam has that. I really believe that.”
Spagnuolo’s put himself in the rare position of being more likely to succeed in his current job if he’s wrong about his ability to evaluate players. Spagnuolo is again the defensive coordinator of the Giants, which means he’ll be facing the Eagles twice this season and his life would be easier if comparing Bradford to some of the league’s best quarterbacks continued to feel like a stretch.
Dude imagine being married to this chick? As @Rmfnlt mentioned just now in another thread, it's good to cross-pollinate our threads. We're keeping this thread rolling and if anyone objects they'll be in for it mister!

Interesting take by Mr. Motes... if your team still sucks after 3 years, ain't nobody's fault but your own. "Suck" is both a strong word and a vague word. Guess it'd need defining. Sure, 1-15 "sucks", but what about 6-10? Does that "suck"? Funny concept... which HC "sucked" more? If 3 years is all you get, then they all "sucked "equally, no?
Or is there some "degree of suckiness"? Is that what's being discussed here?
Does 3 sub .500 years count as "sucking"? What about extenuating circumstances? (injuries, rebuilds, etc.)... should they be taken into consideration? If not, then Fisher needs to go now, right? (I'm not advocating that, just apply the three years of "sucking" theory... and, assuming a losing record "sucks").
Like I said, the goal ought to be to win more games than you lose and get into the playoffs.
The Rams haven't won more than they lost since 2003. Hopefully, that changes this year!
Don't recall anywhere that I said Fisher sucked. Never good to put words in other's mouths. So you think Fisher has sucked as Rams HC?
I don't.
But Spags clearly did.
Fisher has won twice as many games over 3 years, 3 times as many in his 3rd year. And, subjectively, looking at the roster today, i'd say it's twice as good as it was after Spags' 3rd year.
The sad truth is Spags was so bad that being twice as good isn't good enough. And that's where we are with Fisher, imo, not good enough.
But suck? No. Not in my opinion anyway...
how would you categorize Fisher's record thus far?
