It urks me too, but you have to understand it. All media does research to find out which ad works out better where. The ads are a reflection of the IRI data that surrounds you. Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

I'm more offended by the Downtown Rams podcast than the ads, tbh.
Most of the Rams podcasts are just bottom-of-the-barrell.
Their in-house stuff is solid.. the 11 personnel is, by far, the best outside of that and there's nothing really close after that. Just shitty content.
I have to agree Jake has gotten cringe worthy and it’s hysterical he has a big head now considering the filth they put out mostly.

But hey, to each their own. Some people will listen to anything with a Ram emblem and subject matter Rams.

I'm ok with Jake and Alexis' takes, it's just the commercials that I am having issues with..

Yep, and like others have said, his takes aren't bad, I just don't like an ad break every few minutes with such a short podcast. If they did an episode every 2 or 3 days with longer segments/takes before an ad break it would be a much more enjoyable listen for me. Adverts really sour my viewing/listening experience, I have an adblocker on my browser and I don't have cable so at this point the only time I really have to deal with them are with podcasts. I understand why they use them and their intended purpose, but I'm just a whiney bitch like that.

American adverts were always a little weird/jarring to me, especially the medicine ones, or the ones like the old Carls Jr. ads that were trying to just lean heavily into sex. I get it, sex sells, but it was still weird for me. I got used to it for a while, but then I cut cable and I've long had an adblocker so I didn't see them anymore. Now when I do see them they're always jarring/annoying to me. Luckily with podcasts I'll just skip ahead. Honestly I stopped listening to the downtown Rams podcast because it feels like they have an ad break every 5-10 minutes, and it's such a short podcast. I know they upload every day, but I'd rather they broke it into once or twice a week so they could go longer without hearing ads. The latest 11 Personnel podcast was longer and thus had a long break and it was annoying to skip through.

Ireland's road safety ads are something of legend here though, they're fecking brutal. Imagine watching your show and being hit by one of these.

I was afraid to watch anymore after the 1st one. That was brutal.
