But once he has the ball and it's down isn't that the end of the play? If that was a running play there is no way anyone would say the runner wasn't down before crossing the goal line. It's senseless that he slid in and it's a touchback.

This OL is a crap show, maybe the worst I have ever seen the Rams put on the field. This is why the team is struggling, no QB could make things work with this line. Ugh it's painful to watch this.
He isn't a runner, same rules don't apply.

Its just like a kickoff if taking it outside of the end zone if the momentum of making the catch on the kick carries the returner into the end zone he can still down it for a touchback

Time for the Gurley Express! to rocket over 1000 yards, OL or not. We gotta break this trend of having rookie RB's being denied 1000 yards due to injured/overpowered OL's.
Yeah the last four weeks he's probably averaging 25 yards a game. You think he'd get lucky at least once a game. He's certainly playing to his offensive line. And boy is the line ever offensive.

Keenum's yards per attempt is around 3 and a half yards. Now that is ugly. I was hoping to see a sight improvement with the changes and maybe slowly get better each game to end the season. Ain't happening. They need major changes on offense. At least find a serviceable quarterback. One who maybe is around 20th in the league rankings.

Isn't Ziggy leading the NFL in sacks or something?

Man, it's not about that. Greg has the tools to dominate anybody. Thing is I don't think we can draft a LT to replace him simply because we've invested so much with him being the second overall pick. I guess Orlando Pace expectations are too lofty? It's too early to give up on him. I think coach Bo needs to go for this. Somebody has to be accountable for his play, if not Greg himself. If that's the case, draft that ND guy or Tunsil. But we need that pick for a QB! :palm:

Not a good spot to be in.

2nd half is usually when the defense wears out. Offense will not score a TD. I'm hoping for a FG in the 2nd half and maybe eek out a 10-9 win.

53 yards of passing in a half. What. The. Fuck.

And... it looks like an upgrade.

Our depth on D is sick.
Missing Quinn, Long , Ogletree, JJ and McDonald and still playing tough.
You can add Gaines to that list as well.
Exactly. Our best tacklers and playmakers are absent minus Donald. It's noticeable with the eye test but the results are the same. GW is a helluva DC

They don't need to change anything on O other than the line. If it hadn't been ruined by injury this team would be in the playoff race.

Look at Gurley, did he suddenly lose the ability to run? There isn't anything wrong with this team other than the OL getting wiped out.
