Throwing short of the sticks is not evil in itself, the problem is the type of pattern that the Rams throw short of the stick -- either and out or a come back thrown across the entire width of the field -- that gives the defense time to converge and the receiver zero chance at yards after the catch. Yes part of the problem is Keenum's slow ball, but I can't blame him for bad play calls instead of slants or crossing routes or wheel or even a screen pass once a season.

There's no balance to our offense at all. We throw all the time, but they're short throws, so we're stuck in 3rd and long and have to throw. Gurley isn't going to get going with 12 runs per game.
