I know Funk is a fan favorite. But watching Jones makes cuts, you can see Funk doesn't have that quickness a back needs to get positive gains. Perkins comes in and gives them a lift. Not the best pass on that TD but got it done.

Backup will be Wolf or Perks. It's so dynamic having your backup have a different skillet.

I like Perkins as a QB3 if for no other reason he has some mobility.

Good problem to have is our WR core - other teams have to be looking for our cuts or possible practice squad steals.

I don’t want to speak negatively yet on his first game but so far on every catch Harris has made it has popped out of his hands when he hit the ground and then that fumble. Might be a weakness he needs to work on learning to protect the ball.

Yea its good to learn in preseason though.

Perkins looks excellent! Poised, throws from different angles, ability to run when he needs it.

Might not be able to be in practice squad again.

I only watched the first quarter in the SF game. But apparently Trey Lance was not that impressive. He did throw a long TD pass when he had a lot of time to throw to an open receiver. That play was about 50/50 ball in the air and run after catch. After that it looked like he disappointed the fans.
