I havent seen this on here yet, sorry if repost. There is still a chance he returns. What situation could be better than backing up Stafford? A starting gig on a losing team isnt all that ideal, but another ring is worth holding a clip board for.

Reading between the lines... I think he would rather play than ride the bench.
Agreed although I'd feel much better with him as a backup. Even though a healthy Stafford is the key to winning it all imo, Grabapole would at least keep that window still slightly open if God forbid Stafford missed a huge chunk of time. Think Grabapole gonna wait for a starting position to open up due to injury.

Why you got to shit on them man? So many people do which is why their uniform color matches the color of shit.....you animal you :laugh1:

oh wait wait wait -- yesssssssssssssssss:

went from the Orange to the Brown... :D

Always felt like the retirement thing was from teams not knocking at his door. Maybe someone's knocking now. Or maybe it's Doordash.

Rams may be working on him now who knows.

But I think the best way to read them is to watch their moves, and take what they say with a large grain of salt. So the decision not to get him done quickly felt like they wanted to give Bennett/Simpson a shot to provide a solution at QB2. Which infers they weren't particularly impressed with Jimmy. Because if they were, then it would have gotten done most likely given him looking at retirement prior.

Yes it is possible Jimmy backed them off with the retirement talk. But I think that is unlikely given the fact he's so quickly backed out of it. Feels more like a no-interest thing to me.

I'd like to know what they really think of Bennett. Might be this was entirely based on Simpson being the QB2. But I suspect Bennett may have been a factor at least. Either way, we'll find out soon but I think they will probably see how good those two run the offense in/out of the huddle in the first week or two of camp before they panic.

By the way and once again the advantage with Bennett is he should clear waivers and give them a soft QB3 without wasting the roster spot. Unless he kicks ass in preseason. But that would of course be a good thing too.

Your worth it.

JimmybGbisba RAM until he isn’t.

The Unbelievable opportunity may A RISE 4 Jimmy G. I can think of a few.The Cards maybe a Team just yet.

My thing & still is is Ty Simpson is WHO he is ? A Draft Pick with upside.

If we don’t sign JG, we’re banking on Ty or Stetson in a pinch or for games.

I just wonder if $5M for JG is good insurance for a team poised to make a serious title run?

Simpson is such an unknown at the moment.
I would feel better with Jimmy G as the backup. Maybe they wait til after week 1 to avoid the guaranteed contract.

I think they have an agreement that if he doesn’t get a gig he’ll re-sign.
Be foolish right now to do anything other than waiting for an opportunity to arise. They often do
