Totally…

Like the current players of: Dillon Gabriel, Sam Hartman, and Desmond Ridder.

They started more college games than any starting QB with the exception of Nix.

Thats why those guys are perennial MVPs.

Oh wait…


It’s almost as if NFL ready does not always equal top level success. Things like coaching, football IQ, God given talent, and supporting cast matter the most.

The best Hall of Fame game I've ever seen. (But I am a Carolina Panthers fan, second to the Rams of course)
Usually every other play is a penalty but these guys had a few early and then played a pretty clean game.
Carson Beck looked really good and Haynes King looked even better, (but only because of that 47-yard run he had).
What a great way to start the season actually.
It couldn't have been much better unless you're only into star power.

Yeah, because preseason is a great barometer for QBs.

He is playing against a defense that is not attempting to execute a gameplan for him. So lets pump the breaks. I would say the same for Simpson. Now if he looked terrible in this situation that wouldn't be good, but playing well against a vanilla D, full of guys who won't make the team, that means little.

I'll say it again. Ty Simpson proved he could sit for 3 years and then come out of the box and off the bench for one year and look pretty damn amazing.
Until proven otherwise, (and that could take years) I'm all about Ty Simpson and his success.
