Game Thread: Packers at Bears

I don't know. I think I'm already starting to hate Matt Nagy almost as much as I hate Asshole Face and Bill Bellicheat. It started with him last year yelling at an official for getting ran over while attempting that stupid "fake punt/let's run our offense back onto the field and take out the ref while we're at it" play. Then he has Trubisky throw all over the field today instead of utilizing his very talented rookie running back (who I have on my fantasy team). Last but not least, at one point during his press conference after the game, he spoke the words, "That's not how we roll." C'mon, what kind of head coach talks like that??? That's some douchey sh*t to say right there. is he a grown up or trying to hang with the bros?

Yeah same. I think both offenses were rusty and both defenses are pretty good. I remember the pack giving us a hard game last year. And I think they'll be better this year. I don't think Chicago will be as good this year. I think teams will really slow down their offense because they have a year of film on them and they dont hahe a ton of talent on that side of the ball.

He hasn't looked right since his last collarbone injury. I think it messed him up more than people know.

Yeah caught that too--McVay has spoiled us and makes every other coach seem cringey and illiterate.

his reaction to that play confirmed he is in douche nozzle territory. you can't run a whole different 11 players on the field and not allow the opposition to do the same. freaking clown, screaming at the ref for making the correct call.

same as today when fuller tried to tackle adams when he knew he was gonna get beat and nagy was hollering because the refs saw it and threw the flag. freaking bozo.

I think the Packers' defense is much improved. And Pettine is a very good DC, so they are probably going to have a solid or better defense this year. I'm thinking top third somewhere in there.

Bears of course still have a fine defense.

I did note that Rodgers mechanics were sloppy. And his depth of receiving options is a bit weak. So there's that. Re: Trubitsky, he just looks like a guy who is being propped up by excellent play design and playcalling. IMO the Bears might still win the division but it'll be on the backs of that defense if they do, and they'd better get a lot better at running the ball if they want to advance in the playoffs.
