no field goal opportunities and the vaunted offensive points increase adjustment promised by McVay resulted in 14 points and the win. but still. 14? the offense doesn't look any better than it did last year so far. same ol, same ol.
Everyone would’ve been much more satisfied had they scored 21 points (which they should have). However, the offense looked rusty as hell, the OL shaky and the tight end still not figured out. I have every bit of confidence that will improve over the next three or four games but damn it was a bit depressing to watch in game 1.

NFL.com power rankings have the RAMS 10th...but aren't we used to them low-balling the Rams?
That’s funny because only 16 teams won. The Rams didn’t make it past, say 8? They beat the two time defending AFC South champs who came in with playoff wins in the last two years, a ROY in his 3rd season at QB, and a top defense.

Yeah, we suck.

Yes! The defense was IMPRESSIVE!!! The question is why didn't Williams play? That was strange because he wasn't injured unless something happened during the warmup.

quick question -- I've been seeing Josiah's name mentioned in some x-posts & elsewhere, what kind of game did he have? He's not on the stat sheet. Pressures??
I was at the game and saw him in on several plays. I couldn’t tell you if he got any stats because it was generally pretty loud and you couldn’t hear the announcers much except things like THIRD DOWN! He seemed to be playing well. So even if you don’t see much specifically about him, I wouldn’t be concerned. The whole defense played pretty damn well most of the game. I’m sure others had few stat lines.

He had a blocked a pass.

I also saw him around the ball a fair amount but couldn’t tell you if he got credit for anything.
Credited with a sack I believe, at least reported as the player to sack Stroud during the game.

Edit: Looks like they had the wrong player, I don't see him credited after the fact

No concerns for me. Week one. A win. No TDs allowed. Who had that on their bingo card? Whatever concerns mentioned, there should be improvement as the games go on. Don't worry, be happy.

Well it's just Dedich and Limmer for interior depth. They are both center/guards, and Limmer was active over Dedich yesterday, suggesting he is ahead of Dedich.

The other three reserve OL are all OTs (Humphries, McClendon and Quessenberry). Although, Quessenberry may have some experience inside.
Bowles impressed in preseason as well. As least as much and maybe more than Dedich and Limmer, both of whom I like. Particularly Dedich.

No TDs allowed in this NFL is impressive.
How long will the streak go?.....I say 6 quarters.

The main thing is the Rams won. Got off to a bit of a slow start and definitely left some points out there. Probably could have won 24-9 or so, but it's a win and I'm glad to take it. Plus the Rams covered the 2.5 points so I'll be collecting on my trip to Vegas later this month. :)

I was puzzled by the Stafford QB sneak when we have good short yardage backs. But dang I wish the she hawks had beaten the whiners. They might be 4-0 when we beat then next month as they have a cupcake schedule.
