That was very anticlimactic. I was hoping he'd get decapitated during a jousting tournament or something.

This inside the episode is nice in explaining why they did things the way they did.

Anyone else think that it's a shame that Jack Gleeson doesn't plan on acting anymore? I personally think he's a great actor. One of the best out there. Hard to imagine anyone else doing a better job playing Joffrey.

The last few episodes have been very good, so I'm only vaguely disappointed that HBO cut the episode short nearly 10 minutes.

Oh, and remember for next week that the Mountain has been recast yet again. At least I think that's who that was supposed to be in the preview.

Really wish it wasnt only like 10 per season, but i guess with how long it takes GRRM to write they have to take it kinda slow.

Loved the end of episode #6!

What a great twist. I have not read the books but I am guessing that Tyrian is asking duel/combat to counter Tywin's plans with Jamie. So if Jamie represents the King then who does he fight? Bron? Bron can kick his butt and Jamie knows it. Tywin cannot allow that to happen can he? Jamie will die.

Or am I totally off base on this one?

True. That pic does tend to flatter her. I like her take-no-crap attitude though. She reminds me of my wife. Circei would probably kill you in your sleep. Daenerys is a goofy blonde. Plus who wants all those dragons breathing on you while you're trying to get busy with her? Ygritte is the female version of Conan O' Brien. Now Margaery Tyrell is interesting. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

Haven't read the books either. I doubt that Jamie will be fighting in that match because his father, who's the head judge, has other plans for him and won't allow that to happen.

Who would fight that would matter? So what if Bron killed a nobody. Or could Tyrian decide the combatants? If not then they could name the Mountain or someone like that to fight it out and if he loses.......who cares? They would exile Tyrian and he would join Daenyrus just like Barriston did.

Oh and yes I forgot about Margeary Tyrell. She is quite lovely. But I looked her up and I like her much better in character. But in the end I am not that picky anymore. I'll take them all.

Demanding that fight most likely means it's the end of the deal made between Jamie and his dad. There will be no chance of exile for Tyrian. Besides, even if he was exiled they'd hustle him off to join Jon Snow and his gang.

I just watched one of the youtube explanations. The behind the scenes notes said that if Tyrian dies, which he likely would, then Jamie would be free to remain in the Kings Guard and Tywin would not have an heir to rule over Casterly Rock.

So, Tyrian is putting his life on the line to force Tywins hand. Simpler than I though.
