We missed the Polar Vortex here in Alaska. Supposed to be 27• on Sunday, which is t-shirt weather in the Arctic.

Some years ago I spent a winter in a town on the northwest coast of Alaska north of the Arctic Circle. We had an extraordinary cold front that year where the temperature never got above -45 for three weeks, plus it was really windy. One day I walked to work (a mile, my four wheeler wouldn't start below -10) only to find out that everyone else (including Alaska Natives) had stayed home. Turned out the windchill was -128. Had to work for a couple of hours, it was too cold just to turn around and go home.
