Game Day help. I made another dum decision

:banghead: So, I really like my wife and I really like the Rams. And I’m known for making dum decisions my entire life.

A while back, maybe a month and a half ago, my wife and I decided to invite her rookie teachers over for a dinner of my home made pasta and bread (she coordinates a children’s Chinese language program on a shoe string budget, and they really kicked ass, and my wife really loves my fresh pasta and bread).

We settled on Saturday evening, Jan 12 because that’s when everyone was free. :shocked:

Now I gotta get up real early to make enough pasta for about 10 people, and a couple different sauces, etc. No biggie, cept on Game Day I wear my Blue and Yellow #29 all day and no way can I let flour or egg or butter or olive oil or dough sully my jersey, so instead I,ll wear a Rams T-shirt in the am and early pm, then change into my 29 once all the messy stuff is taken care of.

Next, I’m gonna have to perfectly time the bread. While sorta entertaining and having everything ready for dinner time, which I will set for 6.

But you and I both know something’s gonna go wrong cuz the ADD will kick in, I’ll prolly get distracted on ROD, then a little weed to irie things down a little, which will make time more relative, and whatever’s gonna happen is gonna happen.

As long as one of the happens is a dominating Ram W.

And no one in IE Rams House gets hospitalized.

Chill me out, my brethren and sistren. Needing some Ramily support. For Karma’s sake, chillmy whiny, hand-wringing ass out.

Wear your yellow and blue #29 all day. Let it get shit all over it. It ads some history of use and abuse. I haven't washed my black belt since 2003, and it reeks with history!

Get a large clear garbage bag, put a hole big enough for your head and two for your arms and wear it like a homeless raincoat over your jersey.

Now you can send that check to me and not to OS.:mrburnsevil:

Completely different. Of course you know that the very reason there's a 'black belt' in karate-do is because back in the day you never washed your belt. By the time it was all grungy and shitty, you will have been a karate master badass, hence, a black belt.

Our Rams are blue and yellow, not powder blue with dark blotches of butter and olive oil stains and grungy crusty egg yolk yellow. And that's how it's gonna stay: treated with honor and respect.

Well I'm a chef and am quite familiar with cooking for parties at my house.

First of all - wear the jersey and tuck it in. Don't mess with your mojo. Just wear something over it that covers the entire jersey. Keep a couple terry towels handy to immediately wipe off anything you get on yourself so that it doesn't soak through.

Next - If you get all your prep work done early, the rest is generally cake.

Next - smoke a bowl, have a glass or two of wine, beer, whatever.

Next - taste the entire time you are cooking. That way you'll be ready to get up from the table at any time so you don't miss the kick off. The food will also prolong and mellow your buzz.

Done and done.

:rockon: That's a winner. Just think, they enter the IE Ram House as rookies, and leave as ex-teachers, leaving my wife to fill three classes by the following week. No problems there. ;)
 
Get a loaf of bread and a few cans of spaghettios and a couple boxes of mac and cheese. Stay focused. Its your day man. Rams day.

So everything went great. I didn't burn anything, everyone loved the food and both teachers' husbands watched with me. One knew football, but the other didn't. He caught on pretty quick and by the time he left, said he's a Rams fan :cheers:
