I dont think Kupp had any impact on Spruce. They saw #1 potential in Kupp AND had good vibes on Spruce.
What hurts Spruce other than the obvious injury is that Woods, Cooper, TA and even Everett in some cases will be aptly covering the slot routes.
If any 1 player impacted him, I'd say its Cooper.
Cooper of the Pharaoh kind....

To bad Spuce could not stay healthy and be able to complete. Nice to route for the underdog. Rams changed the WR position dramatically in a short period of time. The odds were against Spruce making the final 53 unless he could make things happen on the field. It was fun while it lasted.

I still think he'd get cut, even if he had been healthy.

There is a possibility for that. He did have some good plays in practice that caused oohs awws and Spruuuce's.
It's sad that someone was uninjured for all their life and then when it mattered the most their body let them down. I hope he does get a chance with another team if the Rams cannot keep him. A good kid that works hard.

I really like Spruce, but really a cult hero after 1 preseason game with 6 receptions for 51 yards and 1 TD.
In so many ways, it shows how poor the Rams were at WR.

Wish him well, but if he does not stick with the Rams, just means that there are better options.

Can't make the club if you're in the tub! Besides a major talent infusion at the position, Spruce just can't stay healthy and although I realize he played plenty in college, that was the concern on Spruce after his senior season and one of the reasons he went undrafted. Overall this is a good news bad news thing, the good news is with the additions of Kupp, Reynolds & now Watkins and the emergence of Mike Thomas, who can play the flanker position whereas Spruce is more of a slot receiver, it makes it tougher to make the roster, but one could surmise even the likes of Brandon Shippen and Paul "Shifty" McRoberts has outplayed Spruce, who still always seems hurt, FWIW.

I call ABSOLUTE B.S. The article you posted says he was never hurt his entire football life until preseason game 1 2016. Where do you get this information about injury being a concern and a reason he went undrafted?

Nope, you're right seems he wasn't although I did read there was some concerns about his frame at the time and I've read so much about him I thought he missed time in college, but one cannot debate that since signing with the Rams durability has been an issue.

Also if remember the Hard Knocks episode his father after the Dallas game says "Nelson, how is your knee?" So that led me to believe he had issues with it before.
