What should the Rams work on improving? I saw news where it's possible Saffold is FA. I think he'd be an awesome signing at the right price as he'd give us way more push in the run game.

IMO - OL, CB, LB. In that order.

This roster is pretty solid as-is and the Rams' cap room is limited. I doubt the Rams will make any headline grabbing moves, other than perhaps re-signing their own (Miller, OBJ). Although maybe a miracle happens, I guess, and a big ticket player takes a bargain-bin contract to chase a ring in LA.

Between free agency, trades, and the draft, I hope the Rams can identify some lesser known players at OL (like they did with Corbett) and CB (like they did with Williams) in the off-season that will excel in this system and punch above their weight in terms of contributions.

The OL issues are well known, so I will not harp on them much. We could not run the ball at all almost all post-season. That is not a recipe for sustained success.

At CB, David Long Jr. came on extremely strong to end the year, transforming from massive liability to a deserving starter. I am hopeful he has turned a corner and the light-bulb went off, but it is small sample size. Rochell looks promising, but again, small sample size. he is also very raw and coming off injury. Not everyone can be a Pro Bowler in the salary cap world, but as of now, the Rams only have 1 CB on the roster (Ramsey) that appears to be a lock to be reliable (Williams took a massive step back). You need better in today's NFL.

Unless Tennessee is planning on Saffold becoming a CAP casualty this off-season, he has one more year left on his contract. He'll also be 34 years old next season, so he should come at a fairly reasonable cost if he is cut ...

2022 Draft - OL, OL, OL, S, CB, ILB

OL is top priority only because we have only 3? maybe 4 olineman (starters and backup) actually signed for next year with Whit's likely retirement. So whether it's signing our own or bringing some in it is a huge need. I would think Noteboom and Allen would be priorities.

On defense we need a lot of depth between CB, safety, and ILB. Can Rochell be a starter? If Rams don't view him ready that would be the number 1 priority on defense as Williams could likely be gone.

Other than that, we need to get our boy Gay locked up but I believe he is a RFA so shouldn't be an issue for another year.

Either way, if it's one thing we know with Les Snead... the offseason is only a glimpse of what our roster will actually look come midseason next year lol.

Saw where Calais Campbell may be on the move. Maybe it's time for vet minimum deals like NBA where these guys want to win in LA and come our way.

There's a new page on OTC that shows how much cap space that teams can add through restructures. I think the main takeaway, that many here have been saying, is that the Rams can make space to resign their own FAs or even add some if they are so inclined.

I’ve been saying… they can make room.. and the cap will take a big jump in 23.

After hearing Demoff last week.. no reason to think they won’t bring back just about everyone.

I think Beckham’s injury guarantees Von Miller coming back.

The Rams ate more than 40 million in dead money this year… they’ll be more than happy to restructure many of them.. and Kupp may join Stafford with an extension.

Couldn't agree more about 'enjoying' and celebrating the season and this moment.

However, the 2022 NFL-League-Year is just 29 days away! Four weeks from tomorrow!!

Teams have to be down to the salary cap (restructures, releases and/or extension) by then.

And that starts Free Agency!

I think this is where the "Aaron Donald may retire" narrative is coming from: Aaron is a smart dude. He knows how important it was for the team D to have him, Flo and Von out there. And he is putting leverage on the Rams to sign back Miller. "I might retire, but, if I knew Miller was coming back and we were going for another ring together ... well, that would make me stay." He is leveraging his playing for a friend and teammate. I don't begrudge it.

He also is being smart and might want his contact redone also from what I'm understanding his 55 million remaining is not guaranteed. I could see where that would be a problem. A love affair could end very quickly should AD God forbid suffer an injury his kids/family security left is not guaranteed. Now I know in most peoples live we would be just fine on just a tad of his contact lol but athletes are on a different world.

Also this is a fine line yes we have culture and we are champs and players may want to play here but we need to be careful because if one star gets a contract redone then another like Jalen could eventually ask the same or be disgruntled because eventually it heads that way if they are denied. Then the eco system of the locker room changes so this is very fine line to walk.

I do think both AD and Mcvay are angling for money deservedly so but with players you need to be careful Pandora's box doesn't open.

Oh hell yes. I've been stressed, not gonna lie.

Take that money and re-sign:

OBJ - cheap one year deal just to keep him rehabbing here
Miller
Noteboom
Allen
Corbett

Keep all RFAs

Draft: CB/OL/CB/ILB/RB/OL/CB/OL

Yup right there with you. Once this high wears off I'm gonna tune out until August with a brief pop-in during March/April to see who the new players are.

Talking about contracts and cap spaces for 6 months. Yeesh.
