Careful jrry32, you're starting to sound like Bernie in his last story. Would't wish that on anyone here. And yet, Austin Davis may not start vs. Philly. Insane.

You're right. No sound of a hailstorm in the background. Continue on friend. That hurts. I feel like you gotta hear less crumbs flying out of my mouth and hitting the keyboard when I talk.
Personally, I'd put "No Chris Long!" High up on my List of reasons for the D Playing Below our expectations!! IF NOT AT #1!!Combine that with all the holding calls missed.
i'm surprised too. surprised the damn refs didnt throw a FLAG on that play as well. The most surprising thing to me is the sacks. 1.
1.
1!
-Davis leads the league in completion percentage, 72.3
A statistic that I found interesting: only two players have made their first two career starts with the Rams and had a passer rating of over 90 in both games, Warner and Davis.
-Davis leads the league in completion percentage, 72.3
-Rams are top ten in passing yards. I never thought I'd see that, at any time, with the Bradford injury.
-Rams are bottum of the league in sacks with 1.
- Rams are #5 in passing yards allowed.
Its like this year is backwards in so many ways. Don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like it.
Stats aside, it's all about the W. we gotta make up for a couple of losses agains teams we shoulda beat. We gotta do it against better teams, too. I think we're headed in the right direction but it doesn't get any easier.
I'm not ready to give up on that DL, either.![]()
Funny how Fisher addressed this in his press conference. He mentioned Langford was held ("Pulled Down") on the TD pass to Bryant and no call. He fees it's not a "Rams" thing. The refs are looking to call sh*t against us, and it's BS.
A quick story about referees. A few years back, the high school I work at was playing a basketball game and one of the officials was just homering the hell out of us. So the coach called time out and told one of the players to go out and guard the official. After a couple trips up and down the court the ref asks this kid what the heck he's doing and he told him "Coach told me to guard you." The coach was issued a technical foul and tossed out of the game. We did come back and win, but I thought it was creative by the coach and sent a message to the referee too.
And yet, Austin Davis may not start vs. Philly. Insane.
I don't get it either, makes zero sense to me. It's not like Hill is some great QB with a proven track record of winning and a history of success in this offense. He's just a decent backup who's thrown more TDs and Ints and unlike Davis is in his first year in this offense playing with these players. I don't understand the loyalty here...Fisher made a mistake by making that definitive statement about Hill being the starter. Why not just say you are going to play the QB who gives the team the best chance to win each week?? It is not like you are ruffling the feathers of your QB1 at this point anyway. Davis is actually getting BETTER with more reps. Can you imagine the backlash if Hill goes into Philly and lays an egg?

What does it mean? If the defense comes around, we may have something!
A brief history of QBs that lost their job due to injury and their successors:
Montana >>> Young
Green >>> Warner
Bledsoe >>> Brady
Vick >>> Foles
Well, I know Kaep isn't exactly beloved around these parts, but I'd consider him an upgrade over Smith. I would be curious to see how things would have shaken out had the Rams never knocked Smith's block off in that game though. Maybe Kaep doesn't set foot on the field for another year or two?Smith, Crapondick.
