If Evans can’t make the Vikings training camp roster or the practice squad, it’s hard to imagine that he will get a chance with another team now

Evans has no one to blame but himself. He was given ample chances and almost got all of our QBs killed by himself. Mebbe now he can start his real career as a car wash assistant manager. Tons of car washes in Oklahoma so there's that.....

Something was just missing with this dude. I guess he just either lacked the smarts to learn his craft, or lacked the desire. Coming out of college, he looked like he had everything to be a quality lineman in this league, but nothing he ever did squared up with that.

Is it too late for Evans to try defense? He was great for the other defense.

Maybe we’ll pick him back up for a second chance and I can wear my Evans jersey again. - @Loyal

I get that he sucked as a player, but the level of personal hate towards him is kind of shitty. I guarantee he was doing his absolute best. His best just wasn't good enough. In a season where we needed warm bodies on the OL, he was out there, putting his health on the line week after week, and feeling terrible that he wasn't able to do a good enough job for his teammates. Weren't there reports last year that he was in tears after games, knowing he was letting the team down? That is fucking rough.

I don't thin it's personal hate towards him. It's absolute frustration watching him go out there, expecting him to fail and then he did. I screamed at the monitor when he missed a block and our QB got hurried or killed. I don't know the kid and so I can't hate him. I am sorry that he cried after bad games, but we were crying inside watching his horrific job on the Oline.

The referee is watching him ready to throw a flag for unnecessary roughness on the quarterback (our quarterback).
He did want to be better than he was and he did take it hard personally when we lost games.

This times 1000

I never hated the guy. Just hated his play.

He was one of the few guys who let us down in the GB game and last year - he got Stafford hurt. I didn't want him playing another down after that.

What is odd is that he played better as a rookie than he has in recent years. So it's definitely an effort thing whether on game day or preparation or both.

It’s amazing in 2023 any criticism towards someone is viewed an attack on someone’s person. A lot of older generations say it’s Gen Z but it’s really everybody that comtributes into this BS and as a whole the country has gotten soft with fragile egos.

This is a fan board, criticism and admiration of bad and good football play is going to happen. I haven’t once read anybody post something like they want him to get into an accident leaving the stadium.

The guy has earned 3.7 million and an education playing football so he was compensated for the physical risks. I’m not going to feel sorry for him for that.

He was a right tackle as a rookie and I think he is better able to handle that position. The one thing I did like about Evans is that when he did get his mitts on you, he did a decent job of blocking. The right tackle usually has one guy to key on. I have noticed that he doesn't know his assignments as well as he should and a LG needs to know his assignments. That's why he did so horrible as a LG.

Bruh it's an online forum where we can talk amongst ourselves. I doubt Mr Evans has ever had the opportunity to read or care about anything said on this website.
There's more important problems in this world than an oversized man child playing football with his buddies and making damn good money doing so. Mr Evans basically got a free ride for the last 5 years. Now he has to go get a job. Rough life.

If hes crying in locker rooms, he won't have it any easier in the real world. Best of luck to you Mr Evans. You won't be missed

I would be in real trouble if I ran into Blythe or Evans if they did read this forum

You know honestly I think that was his sole position he got in his head. I won’t lie sometimes that just happens. In baseball I always was third or shortstop in the infield and got put on 1st due to injury there something weird playing on the side of the field. Made several errors and that was the end of that experiment. Lol

Unfortunately for Evans we had Hav and locked him up. Even then idk how good of a RT he would have been. Just seemed he wasn’t into it in spirit anymore.
