Fun fact... He played for the Billings (MT) Outlaws who were once part of the Indoor Football League.

Good for him getting the Packers job. I think he will do very well.

I get that it's soon for him from an experience point of view but if you've interviewed him and he's your guy then fucking lock him up.

There was that story a few weeks ago about how Steve Kiem had viewed McVay as a potential future head coach for the cards but basically left it too late. All the comments above are mirror images of what we were saying with the McVay hire.

Sometimes a lack of experience just means a lack of bad habits. La Fleur will be absolutely fine.

Spent a lot of time with Kyle Shanahan. He has been around. Liked his pressers last year. A little more reserved than McVay but, seemed to be on the same page. If they keep Pettine it won't be a complete change. Packers made the fast choice for their guy. I think he will be a very good choice.

I posted this yesterday and it got deleted lol
I'm wondering if there was a glitch or you forgot to hit the post button. I looked into it for you and don't see anything from you that was deleted. Oh well. Cheers.

The guy worked at McVays OC for one year. Gets another OC job for one year then an HC position? Desperate much?

The Titans ranked 27th in offense and I get Marcus Mariota is not the greatest passer in the world but they weren't exactly lighting the NFL on fire. I also understand the movement for young offensive coaches that players can relate to or have more in common with but I don't think the majority of these young guys will pan out. Much like McDanelles he's young and inexperienced even at the OC position, I don't know how they expect him to run an entire team.

Just to show lol

While lefleur didn’t call plays McVay did state that they both came up with the offensive gameplan each week so while he wasn’t calling plays he did have input on what plays to run vs coverages. I think that’s just as important because that means he understands defensive concepts and he got great insight on what McVay sees when he’s making play calls

Hope he does well except when he's at a crossroads with us. I think the McVay effect had more to do with coaches willing to take a decentralized approach in coaching: letting coordinators and assistant coaches mesh their strengths with coaches while providing oversight with little to no micromanagement

He always seemed awkward and uncomfortable during press conferences. Does he really command respect when he enters a room? I guess we'll find out.

I know. I hope most people here would too.

I was just shocked that his rise to to head of the GREEN BAY PACKERS is faster than McVays.
not freak as in bad but freak as in WOW lol

His down to earth will be faster too..but yea WOW!
