Here's my fear-- The NFL defends Seahags Michael Bennett, and even gives him "Man Of The Year" honors after he clearly tries to injure another player and is caught out lying about the Las Vegas police. I fear the officials will be instructed to influence the game. (Not call holding on whoever blocks Quinn, not call blatant PI's on Hags DB's). Defending a clear POS like Bennett just pizzes me off. No wonder NFL interest is down.
I've been watching NFL football 50 years, and sorry to say, I'm believing more and more from what I see now, that games are being influenced by officiating and the NFL owners and front office are OK with it. Not saying games are fixed, just that some teams get preferential treatment. Officiating from one crew to another is very different. What is a catch? What is a PI? What is a hold? Officiating from crew to crew are far from calling games the same.
Here's hoping Rams get a fair officiating crew, but I have my doubts.
If the Rams weren't having their best season is 14 years, I would be doing something else on Sunday's. NFL games keep getting harder and harder for me to watch.
