I saw this the day it came out and literally laughed at the screen, then scorned myself for clicking on anything the florio coughs up.

Florio is the guy everyone hated in school. The douche that got picked last, if at all.... In all team sports.

The best part of florio ran down his mother's ass crack and into a cheap hotel mattress. He sucks. He'll always suck. Somehow he has an audience, and that itself makes this world a more stupid place. May he go back to the derp hole he crawled out of.

Players ask for/get traded all the time what the hell is Florio talking about? What is unique about this situation? What a tool.

Asshat talking shit to make himself seem relevant.

There has been no shit-talking about McVay by former players and a team that goes to two SBs in 5 years isn’t going to have any.

Fuck him

Akers has had enough? He barely saw the field last year, was McVay on his case while he was rehabbing, probably not. I don’t know what Akers deal is but McVay wearing him out after 1 year seems unlikely.
You know who else is kind of an ass to his players? Belichek. If you can win rings guys will put up with a lot.

I think it started in camp when both backs came up with injuries and oddly enough healed up and became available to practice on the same day.

It seems the unlikeliness of such an occurrence seemed to upset McVay. Then he also felt urgency for Akers to get back up to speed with the offense, which Cam apparently didn’t seem so concerned about.

"I think the message is starting to become diluted. The whole Sean McVay schtick is starting to wear on some guys, I think. I don't know, but I think that it's starting to wear on some guys."

By his own admission, he "thinks" and "doesn't know".

Shouldn't waste any more time with this time waster.

If McVay's 'message' or 'schtick' (that's an odd choice of word that may reflect an agenda-driven-comment) is wearing on any Ram-player months after winning a Super Bowl, that reflects very poorly on THAT player.

Chris Simms gets whispers from somewhere. He usually is right about the gossip type stuff. So… there might be some locker room tensions going on. Winning changes all that, tho.

@Mojo Ram (or anyone) don’t you think guys like Kupp would tell McVay how to address player gripes if there were any?
Probably yeah. It’s hard to explain what I was trying to get across exactly in my post. Some don’t get it, that’s fine. Winning is fun sure, but the company I work for is winning too but I’m not having fun, lol.

I’m a musician and my gift is improv. If I was in a band that had everything so fucking precisely mapped out and planned that’d be great and we’d be “winning”, but if the crowd hated our set one night….what the fuck we gonna do if all we can do is play the set list we perfected on paper in practice.

If we had practiced and allowed for some improv and just jam we’d have a chance to….

I think I kinda hear what you are saying. As a point of contrast, I think of the Seahawks of a few years ago, when Russ was in his prime... on a routine basis, RW would scramble around back there and the receivers would improvise and he'd wing it for a big gain.

Yes, McVay prepares the crap out of everything. I'm sure he'd admit to being an obsessive control freak. But MCVay recognizes that "having fun" is part of a winning culture too. There's a lot of love and camaraderie on his teams. And McVay doesn't simply want execution-- he wants "urgent enjoyment."

As McVay has gotten more experienced, I think he's gotten better at helping his players to relax and be in the moment. McVay's speech (with f-bombs bleeped out) right before the game-winning drive in the Super Bowl:

I'm not sure I buy that. The Rams lost some key talent over the offseason and that's why they're dropping some games. Losing is wearing on that locker room more than anything. I'm not even sure what Akers's deal was.

So the guy that is getting benched, for non production, wanting out of LA is a sign that the players are getting tired of McVay's
coaching? Right. :eyeroll:

Exactly my thoughts. How about someone who has been playing for a few seasons and been to 2 SBs and has 1 ring? Is he bitching?

No? So who might be?
A guy who was handed a starting job coming out of the draft, missed his 2nd year only to return for post season (kinda), and then have the starting job thrust upon him again in year 3–despite no real results to justify such generosity.

Let me guess, Akers wasn’t too thrilled to hear about his fumbling at the 1 yard line when the Rams were in a position to ice the game.

I think there might be some truth to this in that I am sure McVay can be wearing on players and cause some eye rolls in the locker room. McVay always struck me as a bit hypocritical and fake.

But he just won a Super Bowl a few short months ago, is without doubt a very talented coach and among the very best in the NFL so that will for sure command some respect, and what's more, the recent Super Bowl win was largely on the backs of star players like Von Miller and OBJ wanting to come and play for him.

All of the stars that have recently departed LA had nothing but good things to say about McVay and the Rams. Apparently, Donald said he would only play for McVay otherwise he would retire.

Perhaps Sean will lose the room one day due to the traits above that I can only speculate on. But anyone thinking it has happened now, in light of the above, is likely dreaming.

Our offensive line has been completely destroyed by injuries. But yet, we are 3-3, the NFC is weak and wide open, and we are getting bodies back. Bobby Wagner is playing at a very high level now after a slow-ish start. Allen Robinson, knock on wood, also seems to be coming around. Those two will make a world of difference if they can contribute at a high level.

The arrow is actually pointing up...
