Jenkins thought he could be paid with the very best at his position, and he wasn't wrong about that.

As far as 'overpaying' players, every franchise does that including this one. Try not to think about what Aaron Donald is going to pull down with his next contract. Distinct possibility he'll become the highest paid defender in NFL history.

Don't forget TGII will be coming up for contract negotiations about a year or so after Aaron.

Jenkins is great in his own mind. Not a great team mate based on how he pointed the finger at someone else when plays didn't go right (Several times showing up McCleod on the field) and he could not control himself on twitter. Not over paying for him was the best move. The market may have come to him but the Giants will likely be sorry they paid so much for him.
