I am close to where LACHAMP46 is. I do not think we can be an above 500 team with Case Keenum :palm:. I would move on with Sean Mannion from this point on until the bye or just after the game with the Panthers. Mannion can at least throw the long deep pass with better authority. Rams should have some speed down the field with TA, Thomas, Britt & maybe Hemingway

I would prefer to get Goff more practice time & hope that he may be in better condition to run this offense somewhere at that point in time. Its just the cards we have been dealt with by Fisher, Demoff & Snead at this period of time.

ENOUGH OF THIS BULLSHIT! We need to put Goff by week 5 or our season is doomed! Why week 4? I'll be at that game that's why (y) :yess::football:

Its not amazing their circumstance put them there.

Goff is not the team he's only 1 piece and the rest of the players, coaches, office employees and locker room guys deserve the players who give the team the best chance to win every game.

Not a difficult concept to understand.

Yea, I don't think you understand. None of us have any issues with the concept. We have an issue with the conclusion that Keenum gives this team the best chance to win. Our offense has scored 4.5 points per game over the first 2 games.

The difference To Fisher at this point between the two being Keenum the better game manager and Goff being a turnover machine. (Like he was in TC practices).

Yeah I think I understand just fine. A bunch of fans think they know better than the coaching staff. They can tell from the comfort of their couch that Goff HAS to be better than what we've seen even though the coaches see the players every day and know the progress.

And even when Fisher tries to give updates ad nauseum saying that Goff is coming along, that isn't good enough. Even after beating the consensus team to beat in our division for the 4th time in 5 games that's not good enough. Even though Keenum completed 5 passes of over 25 yards last game, that's not good enough.

I get it just fine there are a bunch of people posting on ths board who just won't be happy unless they turn every thread into a pissing and moaning complaint thread about why Goff isn't playing. And if he starts and they start lossing games then they will complain about that.

Its getting old

if Goff can manage more than 4.5 points per game, then count me in

Yep, that's exactly it. And considering the coaching staffs of the past decade, it's not an unreasonable belief.

Nope, Keenum completing 5 passes over 25 yards last game isn't good enough when it results in 0 offensive TDs.

It's not not that we all think he's better than Keenum and we know better than the coach. It's that if he's NOT better than him then we may have a problem....

Well then why are you not employed by an NFL team? Or a college team? High school? Pop Warner??? You'd think people so qualified could find a job.

He undoubtedly will be better but he has to have the opportunity to get ready for taking that next step. Yet every week in every thread we get the cries about how Fisher is fucking him up, doesn't know how to develop a QB can't recognize offensive talent and won't throw the ball 40 times a game.

It's coming just like Fisher has been telling everyone. He is developing, he's getting reps in practice and he is one snap from being in a game. They have a plan and we'll all get to see how it unfolds in due time.

In the mean time maybe we should have a sticky thread where all the complaints can be isolated or better yet they stop popping up at all.

not to get involved in this pissing contest, but if the Goff/Keenum threads really bother you that much, dont read them

Seattles offense has scored 7.5 points per game over the first 2 games.

Maybe they should bench Wilson.

Maybe they should bench Wilson.

If Wilson were a career backup without much history of success, they might be considering it. But Wilson has proven he's a Pro Bowl caliber franchise QB, led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl win, and led the NFL in QB Rating last year. He has a history that makes it easy to shake off his struggles this year. Keenum doesn't.

Well then why are you not employed by an NFL team? Or a college team? High school? Pop Warner??? You'd think people so qualified could find a job.

Chose to take a different route. I did work for a NFL team during college. I also coached high school ball for a time. Found out that as much as I love the game, coaching football wasn't in my future. Even had an interview for a NFL scouting position my final year in college. After hearing about what scouting is like, I decided to take another path. I went to law school.

However, there are plenty of qualified people out there that will never get an opportunity. And there are plenty of unqualified people out there who will have all the opportunities in the world. Getting a job in the NFL is more about who you know than what you can do.

Yep. Your life is jumping from college to college in your region and living out of hotels/motels. I love football. I can understand how that would be appealing to somebody else. It just isn't appealing to me.
