This offseason may be the death knell for the poorer owners in the league.
You have to put a ton of money into escrow for guaranteed contracts.. and those cash-poor franchises are going to start really feeling it, I think.
Glad Stan has the deepest of pockets.

Even if he has to pay McVay 20 million a year to be the coach, it's nothing to him. Other teams can't do things like that.

I know some people that are fans of some of his other franchises that have not been huge fans of the way he has run the team. Mostly see things about the soccer club he owns in Europe but most of that was years ago.

I believe he owns the Denver Nuggets (run by his son) and the Denver Avalanche as well.
Yeah, he does.
A friend in Denver has occasional access to his suite where the Nuggets play.
Stan also has a large apartment at the arena.

Stan's son is going to be a great owner when the time comes. We are set for the next 30 to 40 years.

That's an excellent debate, IMO, Arthur Blank of the Falcons, Clark Hunt of the Chiefs & Steve Bisciotti of the Ravens are in that conversation.

What I love about Enos Stanley Kroenke is, he funded the whole stadium himself understanding the revenue streams he would receive from hosting other venues. He did not do it with a bond or any public investment, it was 100% his money and other stadiums have had some type of public contribution.

The Buffalo Bills are an excellent example, their owner Terry Pegula is asking the State of New York to pony up money for a new Stadium in Western, NY. Pegula could privately fund the stadium, I know Robert Kraft did it in New England, but Pegula expects the State to put in funds if they want to keep the team in Buffalo. So I respect someone who has the means and is willing to utilize his or her own revenue for future financial gain without public funding.
Kroenke's wealth and his willingness to use it are the main reason there is a Los Angeles Rams team with its own stadium in Los Angeles. No public votes for bond issues for a stadium that less than a majority of citizen's wanted. Fewer palms to grease as far as scummy politicians go. The worst roadblock after approval to move back was the sudden rain storm that delayed SoFi opening by a year and environmental impact BS hoops that had to be jumped through. Without Stan doing what few owners are willing to do, which is to totally risk their own money. the Rams would still be waiting for a Riverfront Stadium in St Louis. The Rams would be a place from which to escape rather than for great FA's to land. Silent Stan's willingness to do what he did brought on the rush to LA and forced the hand of Spanos and Davis and the whole NFL All because he was willing to bet his last dollar on the Rams.

As far as building a winning team from scratch and everything goes into that, Stanley Enos is near the top.

As a RAms fan since 1971 it has been a long strange trip. LA to Anaheim to St Louis to Englewood. I contemplated switching teams but it never happened. I was too invested in the horns and a stubborn sense of dedication. I’ve often told friends and family to take your time in picking your favorite team but once you do stick with them thru thick and thin. I am so thankful to Mr Kroenke, Coach McVay, Les Snead and the rest of the front office for making the Rams the top team in the NFL. It reinforces my belief that all the years of disappointment makes the current success all the more sweet.
