This comment towards top summarizes it perfectly...

"How ironic is it that a fired GM is criticizing a GM who has his job"

I have called-out Mike Tannenbaum half-a-dozen-times on the Forum for that exact point.

He had an opinion ... a negative opinion about the Stafford trade ... OK ... that's fine. But Man-up!

I posted the following on February 25th after an episode of Get Up:
It would be nice if there was a little accountability and honesty. Would also be entertaining.

Mike Tannenbaum said the exact-opposite this morning to what he said thirteen months ago.

I like Mike Greenberg. I would like (and respect) him much more if he turned to Tannenbaum after his comments that Pittsburgh 'should trade two #1s and a #2 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender'.

Greenberg should have asked Tannenbaum something like:
'Last year you were strongly against the Rams trading two #1s and a #3 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender. Have you changed your mind, or do you see a distinction between the two cases?'

That question would have been fair, objective, honest, accurate and interesting.

Mike Tannenbaum has Zero Credibility in my opinion.

F them picks Mike T!!!

It took a lot of guts by McVay/Snead to admit Goff was not the answer.

Dan O "The Rams would rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity." That sums it up!

I once accidently left a bowl of tuna salad outside for 10 hours in the Florida sun in August.

It aged better than Mike T's comments.

The best part was when Tannenbaum said that he didn’t think Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods were an upgrade to the weapons that the Lions had in Golladay and Marvin Jones. :laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4: What a stupid fuck. Fire his ass!

Mcvay wanted Stafford & Les Snead made it happen.Snead did the same for Fisher as well.
Deep down I’d have loved to have seen what Goff could have done as well, like some kind of fantasy type thing
That EX gm Tanabum is horrible.I’ve been a Draftnik for years & know talent fairly well.I don’t go on the draft board here because it doesn’t make to much sense. The Rams & Les Snead do an excellent job now a days.
I don’t understand how a guy like Tanabum can be so clueless. He said something last season that Inheard him say & was like WOW & Totally blown away.

Does Mike Tannebaum know the draft doesn't end after the 1st round????

I bet Jets fan Mike Green wants to smack him for fucking up his team for so long.

Kudos to Dan O. He was on the MS train from day 1.

He's just jealous that all Snead has to do on draft day is print up "Fuck those picks" t-shirts and hang them off the super bowl trophy.....

I started a similar thread about his comments on Get Up a week or two ago. I have stopped watching all talking heads since... Why punish myself.

All he did is pick against the Rams all year and every playoff game. On Stafford on there methods he is indeed a joke. Another one here in my for whatever reason he is a Lakers fan but just every playoff game Kyler Murray .. The goat .....Kyle and Debozo....picked against the Rams obviously both lost this man is Chris Canty.

Canty is articulate he knows his shit typically I like him though he can be a bully at times or sensitive if you disagree with him or even push back for whatever reason though had no faith in the Stafford and the Rams just a sheep following the rest of the media but I will say Bart Scott might be a bit over the top at times but that dude knows his shit he would make an excellent coach and didn't waiver to much on the rams. His X's and O's are tight. Good judge of character too he was on to "The Bug" before anyone wasn't even close I'm talking over a year and a half maybe and he got crucified for it. Now that he seems to be right everyone just brushed over it.

Going back to Tanny though he is a dipshit jealous of Snead which is why he is working the job he is working nobody wants him near their team.

It's OK to have an opinion, and for it to turn-out to be wrong. That's not a big deal.

It's Not OK to ignore the fact you were wrong and pretend it didn't happen. That's Chicken-Shit.

However, it's Fucking Bull-Shit to subsequently take the opposite opinion, without ever addressing it.

That's exactly what Mike Tannenbaum did.

Last off-season, Tannenbaum was firmly against the Rams trading two #1s and a #3 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender.

One year later, he strongly recommended teams like Pittsburgh and Denver trade two #1s and two #2s for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender.

And he has gone unchallenged by his Media colleagues and peers.
Tannenbaum should be asked whether he changed his opinion, or sees a distinction between the two cases.

Shannon Sharpe did the same thing. He may have admitted he was wrong at some point. I never heard it. But after the Super Bowl he claimed to love the trade when it happened.

To be fair his point was 8years without a first, much more so than just the actual picks themselves they gave up. I do think the situations vary a bit

I remember this as if it was yesterday. Loved how he was worried if we could replace "Josh Johnson".

He kept it up all season as well, doubting our process of trading picks. Said the same thing after the Miller trade also.
