Fines are largely based on a percentage of player's base salary.

I understand it but don't agree with it. I don't think a fine for playing hard should be more than something that gets a guy a game misconduct.
Still waiting to see what they say about the McLeod penalty. If they levy even a $1 fine, then there is no justice in the world.
