and so you trust the field people who allowed this field to be so screwed up in the first place, to fix it in 7 days, when it's been screwed up for a couple of months? yeaaaah
The man in your avatar played on dirt, ice, snow and mud. Have people gotten so spoiled?

It was the forever bootylicious Shakira concert that damaged the field.

Now I am a little less angry.

The difference these days is the precision offense vs the ground chuck approach of the past. Athletes in the NFL are more finesse than the golden years of Mike Ditka and company. Bad fields end careers with what the modern athlete does on it.

I do understand your point though. :)

Of course he did...They played in situations as they found them. This is different. This is the NFL removing a home game and telling said home team that it must keep its home field if there's an emergency. Tell me when Merlin Olsen or the old NFL ever faced such a situation?

Olsen, sadly to say, never made multi-millions of dollars a year...Life changing money...So I doubt the "tough" argument works as well when risking it all by playing on a bad field, which can be switched to for the actual home field.

Looks like the Rams and Chiefs players are getting the NFLPA involved to inspect the field in Mexico City, so that the NFL isn't the only one judging the field.

I think it's foolish to even consider playing this game on a bad field! You have two teams that ate valid SB contenders. You don't risk playing on a pathetic field.

HECK...ON A GOOD FIELD YOU HAVE ENOUGH DANGER OF INJURY JUST PLAYING.

Meanwhile, the Coliseum field crew has been throwing a party on the week end off....just before the hot call from the Rams front office....

This game will be played in LA. I'd put money on it.

NFL would be foolish to risk injury due to the field in a game that has so many of their bright young stars on both sides.

I feel bad for you Greg. You put your money into a trip just to see the Rams and now it may be potentially canceled. Would be interested to see how the NFL reimburses the fans for tickets and travel expenses

Which team benefits most?
*The betting line went from being the Chiefs favored by 1 point in Mexico to the Rams being favored by 3.5 points in LA.

*70-80 K tickets are on sale for the hottest game in the NFL, just a week before the event. This game will be attended by a lot of stars, and while scalpers will buy and resell...a lot of LA fans will be able to get tix if they want.

*listening to KC radio and those vacation ticket packets being maybe useless now, how many of those disappointed KC fans are going to turn around and buy tickets, hotels, meals once more. LA fans are experiencing the same, except they are at home and could more easily show up for a game

*If the Rams will have a true home game advantage, it's this game.

They better. I don't want to see A sea of Red on a Monday night game!
