Well if you multiply the 22 by 4 you get 88. So it's not hard to figure at least another 12 to get to 100 bucks. The hotdogs aren't big, I could eat 3 easily. One beer each for an entire game is conservative for two grown ups since the event take over 3 hours. One drink for a kid may not be enough either. My guess is if you took two kids , one over 10 say 13 or so and say an 8 year old you are buying more than 4 drinks and 4 hot dogs. A lot more. It's end up being well over 100 bucks. Figure 2 beers per adult and 4 hot dogs, maybe just 3 and some peanuts and 3 hot dogs for the kids and two drinks each.
You are looking at $30 more for the beer, Another $15 or so for the hot dogs. Another $10 for the soft drinks. That $55.
And no program or hat yet.......
Well not EVERYONE drinks beer at games. You can save money that way. When I went to the Rams game in STL, I spent about $8 on one of them souvenir cups of Dr. Pepper. A 12 oz bottle of Bud Light was like $7. Easy choice in my mind (the SODA lol).
BTW: A Papa Johns mini pizza costs $10 at NRG Stadium where the Texans play. You can get a full large at any other chain.
I think, regardless if you spend or don't spend, you should know full well about the prices before hand and plan accordingly.

Some do and some don't. There is still no equal to watching the game live as long as you have good seats and I don't care the size of your screen, what you are streaming for free or who's doing a hoochie coochie dance.
I had season tickets last year and did not buy one item inside the stadium. The prices are out of control and it just feels like highway robbery to me. I was tailgating so I would do all my food and drink damage before hand and bring in a few waters. Water should be $2, soda $3, beer $6, churros and pretzels $3, hot dogs $4, burgers $5.
Just to look at this from a Business stand-point,of course the NBA and MLB have a lot more games per year to recoop there cost of doing business annually! And make profits!
So they can charge Less, and rake-in more!
Not to mention, they don't have 53 man Roster's or the Uniform/equipment costs! So they can produce a "Cheaper" more Fun(?) experience!
75$ for the cheapest seat (endzone, open end, row 88, nose bleed, bring your binoculars), 40$ to park a half mile from the stadium (cross your fingers its still there or not broken into after the game), 15$ for domestic beer, 18$ for Corona, 10$ for a hotdog, 8$ for cheese nachos, 16$ for a cheeseburger (nothing on it).
I'm a disabled Veteran on fixed income SSI. Those prices are just out of my league, and I'm not alone by far. They've priced out a good portion of their fans.
I will be going to one preseason game (Chargers-Rams), and one regular (Rams-Niners) courtesy of my nephews. (I'm restricited to 2 beers and a hotdog on their dime) But with my big screen HD and Barco Lounger, the grill out back and the clean toilet just five steps away, watching a game at home is far more enjoyable (and hundreds cheaper). Not to mention I won't get beer spilled down my back or have to watch the brawls in the isles when the neighbors get drunk.
I'm guessing owners and their marketing people have no idea of the perspective fans like me have, and if they did, could probably care less.

I disagree. Best viewing experience of a football game is at home. Baseball is best seen at the ballpark.

No sympathy here for the owners. It is impossible to lose money owning an NFL team. Just the TV money alone guarantees that. Blank has it right. Have to get cost in line for middle and lower middle income families to be able to afford at least one game a season. Won't build a paying game attending fan base any other way.
I know the difference between the leagues. I wouldn't take my kids to an NFL game but never pass up a chance to attend an MLB game almost anywhere!
You "Nailed it!" Coach. there is no greater Fan experience than sitting in the Stadium surrounded by fellow Fans and watch your Team Play! TV can't match that feeling!!
But they play in smaller venues too.
This is what Blank sees and is trying to rectify, pricing out the fans who love the game is a bad business move. If it gets to the point where only the upper middle class and upper class can go to a game they will have jumped the shark. Mark Cuban was partially right IMO.
Your guess is correct. Things may change but right now that's exactly true.
Same with the NBA. Out of all of the sports that is the best to see live. The athletes are amazing and decent seats are affordable.

I love Hockey, But to me, Hockey and BasketBall are not truly a spectator sport! they are so fast paced, by the time you turn to a friend and comment on something, that just happened, you've missed 4 other things!
They are nice to play, but hard to view and talk about with friends as the game goes on!
I know this will sound stupid but I liked the NHL game far more when the players didn't wear helmets. That and the glass and the boards can deny viewing some of the game. With only around 20,000 seats it is still a good experience.
Thats true but viewing football suffers from the line action so compressed that even the officials on the field can't get it right much of the time.
