OL'er Ben Garland has started 3 out of the last four games @ LG so he not green & has been in the NFL for 4 seasons. This will be his first 34 Defense. I do not think that Garland has seen any interior DL like an Aaron Donald though. All Pro Center Alex Mack has been dealing with a calf injury for two weeks now but should be about 100% by Saturday night.

With DL'ers Brockers & Donald getting some rest this past week should make them rough to handle one on one this Saturday. Both of the Falcons OT's are solid but Quinn & Barwin should be able to generate some consistent pressures on Ryan. I am still worried about our run defense & RB Freeman is very fast, tough to spot & tough to get down. Our run defense from our LB'ers will be the match up in favor of the Falcons.I expect both teams to score often with scores for both teams will be above the 30's. It will be a very close game.

Stop the run and screens. I like our chances at doing both and coming away with a big win. Ryan has a tendency to throw head scratching INTs. If pressured like I think he will be, I’m thinking we get at least two.

They replaced Levitre last game vs Carolina after the first drive. After he was replaced by Garland Atlanta didn’t score a TD.

Garland struggles in pass pro. Atlanta’s interior is really suspect with two struggling guards and a center with a calf
Issue.
Atlanta's O line might look like ours did last week.

Aaron Donald vs. Ben Garland

This was supposed to be Andy Levitre’s matchup, but he was placed on injured reserve with a triceps injury. That leaves Garland to block Donald up front, which like trying to cover Julio Jones, is one of the toughest tasks in all of football. Stopping Donald one-on-one is nearly impossible, which just goes to show how hard it’ll be to with a backup guard.Expect the Falcons to help Garland out by leaning Alex Mack his way, double-teaming Donald with the hope to at least slow Donald down. He could be in for a big game against the Falcons’ offensive line.

You think?:sneaky: Using gimpy Mack to help with AD is sure to assist NT's Ethan Westbrooks & Tyrunn Walker.

If they lean Alex Mack Donald’s ways the majority of the game that means Brockers will have one on one vs the other crappy OG all game. I like that!

If Mack is 100% than the Falcons line isn't in that bad a shape. I noticed Ryan moving well to escape some pressure, to my surprise. Mack did get a week to rest too.

I look for some well timed different blitzes and of course Ogletree up the middle.

Yeah do a little more threatening of the A and B gaps pre-snap for confusion, bring it here and there, and let Donald be Donald.
