Los Angeles Rams

Azareye'h Thomas
Florida State · CB · Junior
Les Snead's draft-day approach has evolved -- he used to aggressively trade up for marquee players, but lately, he's accumulated mid-round capital. Standing pat at No. 26, he returns to the Florida State pipeline for Thomas, a fluid corner with size, ball skills and scheme versatility. The Rams' secondary could use an influx of youth, and Thomas represents a potential long-term solution on the boundary. Even if Snead entertains offers to move down again, landing a dynamic corner like Thomas is on the table.

This could be the worst Rams "expert mock" ever!

What did we get for trading down in the 1st? We don't end up with any of Philly's picks that I see in this draft unless I missed one. We trade with KC to get 96 what do we give up?

But the worst is Bond at 32 that's a an offense worth firing to pick him there.

Had no idea what you were talking about until I found the link of that mock draft.

I'm just not a Thomas fan in the first round (trading down and getting him for a second would be fine by me). Give me Revel any day, and especially on Sundays. I'd even take Amos or Hairston over Thomas.

I'm not sure about any of them. While solid I must admit I was hoping that Thomas ran faster. Hairston vs. the run scares me, I've read that Revel has only played 15 games and can be a bit handsy, and it concerns me that Amos has changed teams so often. Oh well. If I'm not mistaken, Thomas is about 2 years younger than the others listed so I guess that's a plus.

Revel's a fucking unicorn. Would I prefer Barron or Morrison or even Will Johnson if he somehow falls? Or even Emmanwori if he falls. Yeah, but I don't think any of them will be there for this selection, and I'm looking for upside and maturity. Revel's performance against Michigan's elite 2023 team was really, really impressive, and if not for his injuries, I think he goes top-fifteen; I believe that much in his raw talent.

I think there's a real chance Morrison will be there at 26. If it were me, I'd be sprinting up to hand in the card there.

There's no doubt in my mind that Morrison will be there at 26. From what I understand he's had two hip procedures. He's probably looking at day two at best.

He gave a really nice interview recently. Comes across as a good kid and a hardworking teammate:

Obviously, he’d have to be cleared by the Rams’ team doctors first, but if he is then I would definitely take him at the bottom of the first round.

30. Los Angeles Rams (via Bills): Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky (Projected trade: Bills acquire No. 26 from Rams for Nos. 30 and 109)

The Rams won’t lack cornerback options by dropping four spots. Hairston, the 2023 SEC leader with five interceptions and two pick sixes, became one of the combine’s stars after running a blistering 4.28 40-yard time.
Newest Athletic mock from Ben Standing. I like the trade down, not so sure about the prospect. He wasn't sniffing the 1st round until the combine. He's not huge (5'11 183) and isn't great in run defense/tackling. I'd prefer several other CB's to him. In this mock only Barron and Johnson had been picked.

If the other 25 teams are going to be fools I'll take him.

I'd sprint to the podium to take McMillan if he somehow fell to #26, and I wouldn't even look back. Put Adams in the slot, and play nothing but 11.

The latest ones on NFL Mock Draft database are hilarious.

Fox Sports has the Rams trading down from 26 to 30, so that the Bills can move up for Jahdae Barron. Wouldn't the Rams just take him there? The Rams end up taking Jihaad Campbell at 30.

CBS has the Rams trading down with the Giants moving up to 26. What do the Rams get? Picks 65 and 105. According to the widely accepted Trade Chart, pick 26 is worth 700 points, while 65 is worth 265 points and 105 is worth 84 points. Yeah - i can really see Les accepting that deal...

Fantasy Points (whoever they are) has us staying at 26 and taking Azareye'h Thomas. Right position, but there are better CBs available (Morrison, Revel), in my opinion at least, as well as several players who would be higher on my Big Board, like Kenneth Grant, Omarion Hampton and Malaki Starks.

Arguably the worst of all, however, is Sky Sports. They have the Rams staying at 26 and taking Maxwell Hairston. Again, i have no complaints with taking a cornerback... but Will Johnson is still on the board. WT actual F? Unless one of Johnson's legs has fallen off, i would definitely take him if he's on the board at 26.
