Dang. I must be a whole lot different from y'all. I would absolutely not have done something like that and I struggle to understand the kind of mind set it takes to even feel that's a possibility.
Not that I'm judging him or anybody else. I just don't get it. What would make that ok? Just at a basic human level I don't see how that would be ok except under very abnormal circumstances. Being a celebrity, especially one who's paychecks can be cut off arbitrarily for doing stupid things, hell I probably wouldn't even drink in public. But I tend to be very cautious, so I guess there's the difference. I still don't get it.
Completely agree. I mean, I was no angel, and there are places where one can 'let their hair down', but a St.Patty's day festival in the middle of town ?
I used to own a location motion picture catering company as well as a popular restaurant and bar in one of the most well known 'spring break' towns in America, ... and we saw it all go down, things satan would blush at. You combine booze, drugs, spoiled rich kids and a week of planned debauchery, ... add boats, jet skis, thousands of girls in the tiniest string bikinis that look like supermodels seeking celebrity, known high school & college athletes playing the field, and they are known because they tell you, it's absolutely the most amazing circus you will ever see. I had a porn director ask an employee if they could take a few hours off to film. Intoxication, overdose, violence and public sex also comes with the territory. We got used to it because it was a job, although I couldn't imagine being on the other end.
I did discover that young rich kids live in a world of privilege the rest us will never be able to relate to. You and I would be in jail where someone with a 'name' gets a slight warning, ... it's a type cast Hollywood script in living form. I'm not surprised by kids like Elliot, they really don't know what's at risk, they mostly don't care. To have that much money at such a young age, and not have the maturity to understand the 'gift', they live in a world where agents and 'hangers on' (the entourage) tell them they are invincible, many of them come to believe it. Time will tell whether they grow up or not, most will, but there are also those who find themselves friendless and penniless when the well dries up. For Zeke's sake, lets hope he 'gets it' sooner than later. jmo.
