We could probably find someone better than him in this years draft

I am just worried about these players stability off the field. Tre Mason ended up going crazy, this dude got busted for DV, Hill got busted for DUI, who else did I miss?No accountability whatsoever and it is worrysome.

Completely agreed. We need an overhaul and it starts this year with this new regime. I doubt they're gonna put up with any bad eggs. We need high IQ players that are students of the game. A Godwin if you will.

We're rebuilding, even though some people don't like to label it as such.

I'd be surprised if any of Ethan Westbrooks, Eugene Sims, Matt Longacre or Morgan Fox make the transition to Phillips' 3-4. None of them are particularly good edge rushers like we would expect of 3-4 OLB'ers, they are undersized as 3-4 DE's, so we probably unburden ourselves of the entire bunch. Fox scores well against the rush, he might be utilized as a rotational OLB on known rushing downs, perhaps even inside as a thumper on occasion, but Sims, Westbrooks & Longacre were pedestrian at best last season. jmo.

Ethan Westbrooks, a defensive tackle with the Los Angeles Rams, was arrested Sunday night in Sacramento after he was accused of domestic violence, according to Sacramento police.

Westbrooks, 26, played football at Elk Grove’s Franklin High School and Sacramento City College.

Officers were called to the 8700 block of Center Parkway at 9:06 p.m. Sunday regarding a child custody dispute, according to a Police Department news release.

When officers arrived, they contacted the caller and saw that the woman had injuries to her upper body. An investigation determined that she had suffered the injuries during a domestic violence incident reportedly involving the father of her child, the news release said. The injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Officers then went to a residence in the 7100 block of Clearbrook Way, where they located Westbrooks. He was taken into custody and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of domestic violence.

Westbrooks was released from jail Monday, according to jail inmate information available online.

This is truly unfortunate and if found guilty, we HAVE to let him go. This would be the perfect opportunity for McVay to set the tone and show a no nonsense attitude for shit like this.

He not only jeopardized his career, but also jeopardized his relationship with his child he is supposedly in dispute over. I'm not a lawyer, but if I were a judge, it'd be common sense to deem him unfit to take care of a child.

I don't condone DV on any level but I have been in the situation myself and took 14 months to clear my name since the DA's office is also on a witch hunt for DV charges.

I don't know how long it is going to take for the team to get the details but I fully expect for them to do what is right.

Domestic Violence, I hope not, I wouldn't like to be in his shoes. A 6' 4", 267 lbs professional football player on DV charges, isn't a good thing, especially as he's all about his kids, he's near them at the moment as they are all California based (I think) - if the reports are true he may have shot himself in foot by stupidity. when you have kids, you have to think of them first. I'm not sure about the US but fathers with DV convictions find it very difficult to get to see their children.

Damn. You'd rather roster decisions come down to performance.

let's get all the facts before condemnation. But yeah it doesn't look good.

That's fair all though the face tattoo kind of makes me assume the worst from the get go lol. But the fact the woman had upper body injuries that were visible to officers is not a good sign beyond his stupid tattoo choices. Either way, like some have said he was probably on the bubble regardless in Phillips new defense so shouldn't hurt us to not even bother bringing him back. All though I didn't know he was a RFA so makes that a lot easier.
