They converted some of Wood's incentives to salary. Not quite the same as a raise. Very nice gesture of them but also not a raise.

No, pretty sure they added a $500k bonus and Demoff mentioned giving Woods more money, not restructuring.

He's a mercenary.

Let's not kid ourselves.

"I care about winning" means "pay me and I want to have a chance at rings".

We'll see, but I think this is more about getting that second contract and having a STRONG disagreement with that dinosaur Tom Coughlin.

Talib, Peters and Suh were ALL labeled as you're labeling Ramsey now and none of that played out. I think it's like the hype before a fight... like Connor McGregor said while Nurmagomedov was beating his face in..."hey, it's just business". Difference being that Ramsey didn't cross any lines like Connor did.

I think Ramsey is gonna be a mainstay.

Well, okay, so half. Getting the money upfront instead of maybe achieved incentives is still a bonus...in a way.

Point being that they didn't have to do that, but they wanted to let him know tangibly how valuable he is to the org and he got that money.

I remember the Rams giving Warner a bunch of money after the 1999 SB win.

I can't recall how exactly but I think it had something to do with having room under the cap and shifting it to him. Or something.

Woods is worth every cent he makes. I commented in the game thread that he works so hard after catching the ball.
