Mortensen reported on ESPN Gameday that Ramsey promised the Rams he will NOT hold out this season or NEXT Season and will honor his contract next yr.

Of course I would assume this is just a promise and if the Rams don't show any progress in negotiations on a long yerm deal next yr then who knows.

In any event that is still good to hear since we would expect the Rams to handle their end of this.

I really don't think that people truly get the magnitude of McVay's culture change, Snead's treatment of players when it's time to part ways and Demoff's ability to front load contracts and pay players their fair market value.

By the way, did anyone notice Robert Woods got a RAISE? Yeah, he did. And they gave it to him UNSOLICITED.

When was the last time a team gave a veteran a raise...just because? Well, the Rams did.

And if y'all don't think the way the Rams are doing business hasn't gotten noticed around the league... well, you better ask somebody! LOL

I wouldn’t be surprised if before the trade Snead talked to his agent about their cap situation and how his contract is gonna have to wait but will come in due time and if Ramsey was okay with that. Probably where this promise came from tbh

Lol not immediately maybe, but man we do need to sign him long term. And he's going to make a loooot of money. We'll have to get rid of a big contract or two.
Definitely need to sign him because of what we gave up to get him. Getting rid of a big contract, that's going to be easier said than done.

Didn’t the Rams also pay out a $200,000 bonus to Woods after the 2017 season despite coming up 19 yards short of 800? They had Woods sit out week 17, along with the rest of the starters, and because of that the Rams honored the bonus. It’s stuff like that which goes a long way to building a happy locker room.

He strikes me as the type who will want a new deal every two years.

I'm as cautious here as i was with Peters.

They converted some of Wood's incentives to salary. Not quite the same as a raise. Very nice gesture of them but also not a raise.

Ramsey has always said that what he cares about is Winning! I saw a clip where he even said “people don’t believe me, but that’s what I care about”

He's a mercenary.

Let's not kid ourselves.

"I care about winning" means "pay me and I want to have a chance at rings".

Depends how Likley it was that he would achieve those incentives
