Ravens have been exposed over the last 6 weeks or so being hammered by zero blitz with no answer even with Jackson at QB. Huntley might have been handling it better.

Jones is a big loss but with the experience everyone has gotten over the last three games this is a winnable game.

What surgical procedure can be done to repair a sprain?
Sprain in this context means partial tear. So he has a ligament or some ligaments that need to be fixed with surgery. The higher grade sprains (2nd & 3rd degree) typically contain partial tears. So it must be a bad one, obviously any time you need to go under the knife its not good.

ILB Howard will do an excellent job filling in for Jones. Have no fear!
Is it OK if I am a little nervous?

I like Howard; and I thought he and Reeder played really well against the Vikings.

However, also thought Ernest Jones was playing at a very high-level, and will be greatly missed.

I give you permission to be a little nervous right along with me.

Pisses me off to finally get a fucking ILB. Finally. Then lose him to a high ankle sprain. Goddammit.

Hopefully Reeder plays the way he did last week. We need big games from this guy the rest of the way.

My son had a bad high ankle sprain and every time he thought he could come back he aggravated it. After doing this on and off he finally got surgery. They anchored his tendon and repaired his ligament. Not sure exactly what EJ is suffering from but High Ankle's can be nasty. His first ortho was all about rest and natural healing but he got impatient after several months and got a second opinion from a specialist for athletes and that ortho said quickest way back is surgery and rest may never get you back all the way

My son had one during his college freshman baseball season. He missed about 5 weeks, with no surgery, just rehab. So he came back to play summer ball, but it took a while to get back to 100%. Didn't steal many bases as he didn't push it too much. So I can imagine an NFL LB will take awhile with or without surgery. I cant imagine him being available until NFCCG at best.

I’m hoping he makes a speedy recovery but it seems that there is a ton of variability in the recovery timeline. Maybe he gets lucky and he’s good to go earlier!
