those two Rams are very worthy of the Hall, but Meador was all-pro in the 50's and 60's, He should go in first.
train

Talking more about Weddle, not about Meador. Weddle should have to wait. I'd be perfectly fine if Meador went into the Hall first; just not Weddle before Torry and S-Jax.

When it comes to the HOF, safeties are usually in for a long wait. ex. Steve Atwater and LeRoy Butler.

Being part of a championship team will help Weddle. Earl Thomas might be ahead of him though.

NO FREAKING WAY -

Eric Weedle showed to be a class act. Don’t full yourself

Thought I would "bump" this thread while we are in the Dog Days of Summer.
The Rams having another remarkable legendary story to their already acclaimed franchise history.
The legend of Eric Weddle.
This interview by Rich Eisen right after the Superbowl ,explaining how it played out, is hard to believe.
Think about this. He called his wife and asked her her thoughts. All she had to say was "no" and he would have declined.
He said he was on the fence, but she encouraged him and supported him. The rest is history. Again, another absolutely magical piece
of the puzzle that just happened, against all odds, to fall into place for the Championship to happen.
This is day 10,402 since the 49's won a Championship if you're keeping track (which I am). Everyone bags on the Cowboys
for having a long Superbowl drought, but the 49's are actually worse. How sweet is that?

Wow, I didn't know all of this about Eric Weddle's comeback...
However, I would like to state here and now for all Rams fans everywhere....

"THANK YOU MRS. WEDDLE!!!!"

SJAX.......in the HOF??? Can't see that even remotely being a thing.

Weddle should eventually get in. Great career with an incredible ending..... No way the Rams win that SB without him.

My various thoughts on Eric Weddle as a Ram.

2019: (March) Oh cool we're getting Weddle, a very good safety when he was with the Chargers/Ravens.
2019 (late Nov): Ass-hat didn't want to provide any help on his former Ravens' team and we get killed.
2020: Weddle retires. Eh... it was time. We'll survive.
2022 (Jan): We're signing Weddle. Hmmm, other teams may expose him because he hasn't played for a while. Could bite us.
2022 (after playoff win vs Cardinals): Wow Weddle still has it. We're lucky to have picked him up.
2022 (SB win): Weddle made a big difference in the 2ndary. I was wrong thinking he would be a liability. He was an asset. (not an ass-hat!)

Well he's definitely in the HoF conversation. And worthy of consideration.

Weddle finishing the Super Bowl playing with a torn pec and helping us win a title was epic. I will never say a bad word about him thanks to that. When he gets in the Hall in fact I will applaud him, which I rarely do with players who I do not consider to be Rams through and through.

It’s funny how many Chargers fans thought he was overrated.

One guy I know is still incensed he got tricked by Shonn Greene in the playoffs.

I will say as a former LB that was a fucking horrific read by number 54 LB as the LG didn't pull left and that LB went hard left and got washed out leaving Weddle 1 v1 . Surprised he didn't at least slow him up there.

Reminds me of that POS Seahorn and that 04' playoff game with Steve Smith's double overtime walk off TD.

Honestly think we would have gotten farther in that playoff ladder because we matched up very well vs those other teams.

I love the analysis!
Yeah.. Weddle got trucked.. but giving up 30lbs to a guy coming at you full speed is tough.. and that should never happen.

I feel like Schott was a solid coach who was too uptight to win in the playoffs and that was what he passed along to his players. They always choked.
