Uh... do y'all realize that Gurley is currently the #16 rusher in the NFL with 314 yards, ahead of Mark Ingram, Jonathan Stewart, Alfred Morris, Joseph Randle, Eddie Lacy and Lamar Miller among others?

And did y'all realize that he's tied for second-most 20+ yard rushes with 5, only one behind NFL leader Le'Veon Bell?

All of this while being tied with Marshawn Lynch (who has 182 yards) for the 32nd-most attempts?

He's also leading ALL NFL RBs with 5.7 yards/carry.

Do you realize that he has done all this while still being hampered with a knee brace?

I'm betting he won't break either record...or he might get 3 in a row but not the season

Eric Dickerson has the most 140+ yard consecutive games as a rookie at three. (from what I read, it still stands)

These came in 1983, games 4,5, and 6.

Gurley is set to tie this record also in games 4,5, and 6, ironically, but in his first 4 starts verses Dickerson's first 6 starts.

If Gurley does this against the Browns, game 7 in STL against the Niners is his shot to top Eric Freaking Dickerson! A record that has lasted 32 years!

That season, Dickerson earned All-Pro, Pro Bowl, Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors.

Now, Dickerson also had most rookie rushing yards (1,808), most rookie rushing TDs (18), and most rookie rushes (390).

To top ED's yards record, Gurley needs to average 135.9 YPG.

To top ED's TD record, Gurley needs 1.72 TD per game.

To top ED's carry record, Gurley needs 30.54 carries per game.

I don't think the yards or TD's are out of reach yet, just highly unlikely. But some huge games could change my opinion!

I think two of the three records you spoke of will fall. But I don't see him getting over 30 carries a game the rest of the season! YPG and TD's are doable!!(y):D

Gurley is a real talent - no doubt. It would be awesome for him to break every ED record. I loved me some ED when he was a Ram and I hated the idea of AP breaking the season record. But Gurley is a Ram so I'm good with him breaking every freaking record in football. That being said, I have never seen a pure rusher like ED and I think we are getting a wee but ahead of ourselves to even put Gurley in that company this early. I too see some similarities in pure ability and level of skill and talent. But Dickerson was something I had never seen before and haven't seen since.

I couldn't be more stoked if Gurley proves to be in ED's league. I wouldn't be surprised if he ties the three game record but I would be pleasantly shocked if he comes all that close to the others.

I hope that he doesn't have to carry it 30 times a game. That is too much for a player coming back from a major injury.

I'm good with everything else.

Against CLE and their 32nd ranked run D in YPG, 31st in YPC, anyone else feeling Gurley's first 200 yard game?

The Arizona team would have the league's 6th ranked rush D if not for the Rams game.
The Green Bay team would have the league's 16th ranked rush D if not for the Rams game.

Rams rushing attack is top-5 caliber with Gurley. This game could be the REAL coming out party for Gurley. A next level holy hell moment for the rest of the NFL.

After watching the porous nature of the Niner's Dline that I saw tonight, Gurley could very well have two consecutive 200+ yard games and 4 consecutive 140+ yard games in a row. A combination of 49er patheticness makes this possible

It would be nice if the Gurley Express! starts breaking ED records this weekend. However, nothing is static: everything is fluid. The leagues statistically worst defense against the rush might just rise up and play like the league's best this weekend. Their DC might fix their rushing D problems in time for us. The light may go on for some of their key defensive players. Each game is an individual moment in time.

On our end, we hope our young OL really comes together much sooner (like this damn weekend!) than later. I don't know when the brace comes off (Todd's long-term health concerns come first!), but when it does, a lot of his long runs are gonna end up in pay dirt.
