Full time wouldn't mean a damned thing. As it is they have 6 days for travel, study, free time, etc... it is a decision the refs themselves are making if they are not studying the rules and committing them to memory. They could also easily be watching game film on their questionable calls.
I agree that we need to take advantage of technologies but also use that technology and REAL accountability to weed out the crappy refs.
I don't buy the union is so strong argument. The player"s union is far stronger and the NFL still ends up holding the reins in negotiations.
Stop adding rules and feel good measures, scale back the rule book, and take the refs back out of the game. We are not paying to watch them huddle every other play and should not be holding our breath looking for the flag.
