I have been thru many, many rough years as a Rams fan. the 90's, the long stretch stretching through most of the 2000's ... I am tickled pink to have a team that now is relevant, competing for the play offs/championship for the foreseeable future. Winning it all would just be icing on the cake. But i am a happy Rams fan right now. I don't see us fading like before anytime soon.

It’s a big mistake to take these talking heads at face value.

They’re entertainers!

I stopped watching them years ago other than when some poster puts up a particularly entertaining video. They’re mostly a waste of time, frankly.

Exactly. When the show has a pair of commentators have a conflict every show or nearly every show, my understanding is it is common for the producers to assign opposing viewpoints to each of them - because those arguments draw ratings, even if from people who hate the discussion. But they watch. Even if it is actually the talking head's own opinion, the shows will focus on what will get conflict going, and segments with agreement quickly are skipped. It's TV - it's entertainment, and only marginally at best information.

I love how the media keeps saying, oh the blueprint it out to beat the Rams. All i can say is please try and run that same defense against us with a healthy Cooper Kupp and Gurley and we will see how fast they come out of it.

Oh I have no doubt McVay has also addressed this. That "blueprint" is likely the most foolish approach an opposing D can try this season.

I don't watch ESPN. Locally in Phila they are dismissing the Rams. They say the will take a step back. One former player used the McVay calling plays for Goff that defenses have figured out the Rams. They didn't give the Rams a chance last year either.

At this point the Rams, Saints and Eagles are the top favorite teams. The Bears, Packers, Hags, Vikings, Cowboys and Falcons are next tier. I'm not dismissing any of them this early. All teams added and lost players. Right now the Rams are looking as good or better than the other teams. To dismiss them is just plain stupid.

I most relate, as a Rams fan, to the Bills and the Browns fans. It's hard to be a die hard fan sometimes, especially when the season is basically over by week 9, but we were always there. It's surreal for the Rams to be this loaded with talent, well coached, best GM and best owner in football (IMHO). Good to see the Browns having a shot at giving the Steelers & Ravens a run for their money. Bills fans, it's going to be another long season, but, you still have the craziest tailgates, so that's something to be proud of. Your time is coming when Brady retires in 2025.

I am absolutely convinced the Rams are going to win it all this season.

Sweet.

Just realized that we got a Rams’ season ending in “9” comin’ up. They’re *usually* damn good.

1979? 1st Super Bowl appearance.

1989? Terrific season, deep run in playoffs, Flipper runs out of the Meadowlands.

1999? Ahem.

2009? (Ok, never mind...)

2019? How ‘bout another magic carpet ride...

I love the confidence of so many of you on here, to be 100% honest I'm still hurting bad from the Super Bowl loss, I think why it bothers me so much is that I KNOW we could have embarrassed those fing Patriots if Kupp was healthy or even if we just hadn't beaten ourselves that day. I don't want to get my hopes up too high just yet because a lot of things can happen. I just need the season to start, when we're sitting at 3-0 I'll be back on the hype train
